Lovely welcome and room size great Spa was so good and clean Breakfast was really nice And the whole stay was good value

Bathroom needed a tidy up and refresh, and stain on the carpet Was disappointed that the spa didn't open til 9 and breakfast finished at 945, this has been 7am opening at other hotels we have stayed meaning a sauna and steam before showering before breakfast, please consider this in the future

Lovely suite room. Huge his and hers showers, heavy blackout curtains. Nice gardens and boutique feel to sitting area and spa area. The food at dinner service was a good standard.

The service was hit and miss. Very very slow with drinks orders, young staff that seemed like they'd rather not be there . At dinner/bar no music no ambience. Felt like an old people's retirement home . "Restaurant" is a drafty conservatory that could do with a good clean. The breakfast service was pretty poor, there was no hot food when we sat down at 930 we had to wait a good 10 mins for some to appear. Only scrambled eggs . No sign of bread or toast nor were we offered any . Nor were we offered a menu for a la carte choices . Croissants available but only with jam. No butter portions. Tea and coffee available. But sugar bowl empty. Tables not wiped down from previous guests..Sounds picky but when you are a 4 star charging nearly £300 a night these little things shouldn't be an issue. they're very basic and easy to get right it's just attention to detail, cleaning and wiping down, making everything is refilled and available, offering menus and serving drinks promptly.

It is a lovely gesture to provide a complementary drink on arrival and I’m sure the tea drinkers were very happy but the lack of coffee as an option was slightly disappointing

The staf were really welcoming and generally very helpful. SPA was nice and relaxing.

The stay was ruined by the fact that we booked in for dinner, but as we went to the restaurant we were told that they were only serving room service menu. The choice of food quite unacceptable !! That meant that we had to go out of the hotel for dinner.

Our room was perfect. Just what we needed to have a relaxing quiet couple of days. The staff were very friendly and polite. Especially the receptionist who was on when we arrived on Sunday at about 2.30. She went over and above to accommodate our requirements. Thank you. The hydro pool was brilliant and it was great seeing the stars from the outside part of the pool. We had 2 very good and nicely cooked breakfasts. All in all a great stay.

Good location, easily accessible for walking into town. Value for money. Friendly service .

Noisy feather pillows, mattress a bit too soft - felt like I was going to roll out of bed. Car parking for residents the furthest away. Day visitors get to park directly outside of the reception
