El Terado Terrace

Very clean, spacious room. It is an older building, but they have done great job keeping it updated. We never met or saw an employee, but our room keys were marked and available for pickup at the check-in window. We had a nice view of the ocean from our room. Everything in Avalon is easily walkable.

The overall stay was nice. It was quite, neighboring guest were respectful as well. Cleaning staff was accommodating and efficient. The only issue we had was that there were baby roaches found in the microwave, counter, and in the shower. If this wasn’t an issue I would have rated 5 stars because everything else was great for the days we were there.

We had a heating problem upon arrival. The Manager Ivan asked for 10 min to reset heat, showed up 15 min later and got it working. Also had wonderful dining reccomendations. Place was not fancy, but spacious and clean.

The room was clean and well appointed. I particularly liked the flooring. The water pressure in the shower was poor and there was no trash can beside the bed; we had to bring one in that my wife found under the kitchen sink. WiFi was included but spotty. The floor in the kitchen was higher than the rest of the unit in a way that indicated an old, settling structure. The refrigerator interior was held together with black tape. Overall, it was not worth the $200 per night price...maybe $125.

Loved the unit and space access. Had to wait a really long time for the shower water to warm up and it never really got hot. Otherwise everything else was easy

It was super valuable to us to count with a full kitchen :)

The hotel is relatively close to most of the restaurants and shops, but it is up a hill. The hotel leaves a lot to be desired. It’s an older building and the furniture and linens are very basic. The kitchen is a nice feature, but there was something on the side of my fridge that was not cleaned well. I never saw one staff member while I was there. My keys to the room were left at the window when I arrived. I was also under the assumption that they offered transportation to and from the ferry and that is not the case. I did have an ocean view from my window, and the beds were comfortable, and the water pressure was good. I don’t know if I would stay here again, but overall, it was a clean room and had what I needed but not a hotel to sit in and enjoy.
