La Quinta by Wyndham Bismarck

The property was clean and rooms were nice. Kids loved the pool. The location was close to shopping and several eating establishments. Conveniently located off I-94 for easy travel access.

Have stayed here many many times driving across the country. Always friendly and clean

I slept so well. The room was clean and comfortable

The front desk staff and breakfast area very friendly. The property is dated and carpet in room had an odor. Beds were pretty hard. Good for an overnighter.

Room perfectly adequate. A little run down. No USB ports to be found. But hotel was almost empty and they put us directly between the elevators and the ice machine - which turned out not to be a problem since the hotel wasn’t packed….but still….why? Would stay again.

Refrigerator broke / started defrosting and we woke up to a wet floor, tiles missing in elevator, bedding had tears in it. Staff was great! Room was clean.

Easy to find, all good

The bath tub drain was so clogged, the water pooled around your ankles while you showered. The motel sent me an automated text on the morning we were scheduled to check out, asking me to select a departure time for an the "online check out." I filled out the automated form and indicated that we planned to stay till 12:00 noon, which was the very last check out time allowed. Problem was, I only got a text about one of the two rooms I had booked. I did not get an "online check out" text for the second room, which happened to be the one I was in. Starting at 8:00 am, the housekeeping staff started periodically pounding on our door to see if we were still in the room. After the third time, it felt like they were harassing us to go, which is not how I like to feel when I'm in a motel room, minding my own business, getting ready in the morning. When I left the motel, I addressed this issue with the desk attendant, who could only say that the reason this happened is because I had "checked out online." This made no sense at all, since the online check out was for the other room, and even then, I had advised that we planned to stay till noon in that room. An apology would have gone a long way to making things better, but the aggressive, flippant, unhelpful attitudes of the staff only served to make me even more upset about the situation than I was to begin with, hence this bad review.

The gym once again was awful. The ac/fan unit wasnt working and it smelt so musty and dirty and I couldnt hardly breathe in there. I went to the front counter and the lady work on 8/28 did nothing. She didnt go check and seemed upset I was asking to fix it. I also asked for a fan or something so I could simply workout which was the whole reason I stayed there and she had nothing or didnt check. This has been more than once with the gym being uncomfortable. Also the front lobby area was horrible and muggy like they didnt have the ac on at all. Room was ok, but the rest needs work! I wont be staying there again, as they need to focus on all areas of their building for comfort and cleanliness.
