Villa Herencia Hotel

Hotel is conveniently located in a good area. I would say it’s not made for big and tall people. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The bad part was the water temperature in the shower. It was either cold or super hot that can easily burn your skin.

Exceptional property!

Not necessarily specific to the property but rather to Old San Juan in general, parking is a challenge. The Valet parking ($25/day) adjacent to The Convento is a 2 min walk from Villa Herencia but sometimes a challenge b/c there are limited spaces available.

If you like the vibe old san juan and renaissance, this is hotel for you, walkable to all the restaurants and bars, would not recommend renting a car because parking in old san juan is difficult. Quiet and clean hotel. The AC is strong as well, good for summer.

Great location - on a quiet street, near a good cafe (Cafe Caleta) and both Balleja and La Puntilla parking lots. Also very close to the main gate to walk along the wall. Clean hotel, friendly staff and clear check in/out instructions. Rooftop terrace great for a quiet dinner and jacuzzi.

Our room didn't have a window, so difficult to wake up in the morning, but knew that going in.

Great location

This was such a quaint, adorable, cozy and romantic spot in old San Juan! We absolutely loved our stay, it was quiet, incredibly comfortable and the rooftop terrace could not have been cuter!!!

It was amazing! The hotel is charming and unique! The location is perfect. I definitely recommend it to everyone!

Villa Herencia Hotel was a lovely spot for our stay—exactly what we needed. The location is perfect: tucked away from the busy main roads, yet just steps from everything in Old San Juan. It offers a peaceful escape with easy access to the city’s charm. The room itself was cozy and the bathroom was very clean, which we appreciated. That said, I do wish the room felt a bit more “finished.” The walls and ceilings had an intentionally raw, unfinished look that I assume is part of the aesthetic, but it didn’t fully land for me. It may appeal to others who enjoy that kind of rustic charm. Overall though, it’s a unique and comfortable place to stay, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a boutique hotel experience in a prime location.
