It’s always a pleasure to visit the Dolmen. There is always a warm welcome. Some of the interior was a little tired and jaded looking. The corridor carpet could do with a change. That’s only a small thing though and I’ve stayed in snazzier places that haven’t service as good as the Dolmen.

The most disappointing thing about the hotel qas there was no a/c in the room the temp was 29 degrees all nibht even with the window wide open ,at 1pm on tgw first night i had enough and rang down to the desk and the man said everyone was in the same boat and he could do nothing for us .The next day and night was the same only they gave me a fan to help because there was 4 of us in an average size room and the heat was unbearable even though the weather was raining and windy .The shower ran hot and cold constantly and there wasnt enough toiley roll in the room .All in all we wont be back and it was a disappointing stay gor the kids who had been waiting a summer for there holiday 😞

Location great, easy access to Kilkenny lovely gardens. Staff were very helpful, got us checked in early so we could get a shuttle bus to Bob Dylan. Very comfortable beds, really nice room with lovely view of the garden

It was all good. Breakfast could have been a little better. But I enjoyed my stay.
