staff were very friendly lovely hotel with a relaxed atmosphere

A great stay for a quick stop. The area is beautiful and the scenery out the window was lovely to wake up to. The room was fitted for our family and the breakfast was a delight to enjoy. This is a great place to stay outside of Carlow.

This hotel is a bit out of town, a taxi into town will cost 10 euro

Great food all round and pleasant atmosphere. Comfortable beds and cosy rooms Abit expensive fir 1 night.

Disappointed with our stay. We arrived at 3:30pm to check in and were told that none of our 4 rooms were ready. We understood that check in was at 4pm so asked if 1 room of the 4 was ready and we could just out our bags in that room. However, she said no room was ready. I don't understand how they were going to get all the rooms finished in half an hour. We left our bags at reception. We were attending a wedding in another hotel so it was annoying we couldn't freshen up in our room. We returned back at 2am where the porter checked us in and we went up to the room. The room was clean and nicely decorated, however it was very cold and the duvet was light enough that we used two on the one bed. It wasn't even a cold night. Check out was early at 11. It confused me that check out was so early yet no rooms were ready at 3:30pm for check in. Overall a disappointing stay but price was good.

Lovely stay. Room a bit too warm but otherwise a great hotel

Everything was good except the Bistro service. The food was fantastic but we had to wait 40-45 minutes between the starter and the main course.
