MainStay Suites Kew

The Apartment was very dirty. Bins hadn't been emptied from previous guests. After having been moved to a new apartment as first one allocated was in worse condition, we chose to say nothing & clean it ourselves.

It’s a great place to stay. Close to shops and amenities and the staff are friendly and helpful. The apartment is clean, well equipped and spacious

While we really enjoyed the time there we think it would be good to renew the carpet in the stairwell, and a lick of paint as well.

Only the things pointed out previously.

Location is superb. Literally walk out the door to wonderful shopping and restaurants in central Kew. Also, trams to the city and elsewhere just a 1 minute walk away. The apartment was very quiet. We had one at the back, upstairs so a nice view out to the street behind as well as out to the front. The apartment was very comfortable, with a 2nd separate toilet, main bathroom, ensuite etc. It was spacious, and stylish with nice furniture including a generous timber dining table. Great to have nice staff on hand, and who came after 5pm to help us with the Netflix connection. We would more than happily stay here again.

The only thing is that the kitchen is not very well equipped. There wasn’t much there in terms of extras like a fruit bowl or salad bowls, containers etc. You could probably cook a meal but it would be a scant affair. There was no glad wrap so the microwave got dirty. But heaps of cafes and restaurants around and beautiful gourmet things from places like Leo’s and Toscanos so you won’t go hungry.

Needs a bit of a tidy up around the grounds of the buildings

location was good, within walking distance to cafe, restaurants and food shops

The shower was not good, very difficult to mix the hot water with the cold to have a decent shower.
