location in centre of everything, and when shutters were closed you couldn't hear the street outside, very elegant rooms and public locations

no lift but its an old building but at 80 my legs were a bit sore breakfast a bit boring, hot had little choice and no changes, its a long walk from any parking area if you like us a bit on the more elderly

Hotel well positioned in central Sorrento and close to shops and restaurants. Staff very welcoming and rooms were comfortable and hotel met our needs. Breakfast was included in price and the options were fine with enough choice to suit most needs for breakfast. In sum the hotel was good for a 2 star rating and is ideal if you want to be positioned in the middle of the town.

Beautiful, historic building just off the square that is full of character and history. The room was beautiful, clean, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but note: the shower is very small. There is a nice sized bath tub for use, if needed. The breakfast was one of the best from our trip (we stayed at 4 hotels within Italy) and had a large array of options from sweet to savory, with lots of options. We enjoyed the breakfast very much! A wonderful stay with friendly, communicative and very helpful staff. I would stay at this property again.

Fabulous location right in the heart of Sorrento on a pedestrian only street, bustling with stores and full of history.

While our room was quite special, large, comfortable, charming, with some beautiful detail and a small balcony, the shower was very small and difficult for a bigger person to use. Getting to the room meant walking up the stone stairs — fine for many, but difficult if you have mobility issues. There is a small elevator that has been retro-fitted into this 18th century palazzo; but if you are claustrophobic, it’s a bit scary and it got stuck for a few minutes while we were on it our last night.

Unfortunately the property Maison Tofani was not as described or pictured as when I booked it , the room itself (101) (ironically) though tidy was not very clean in the bathroom/ shower area , the room was noisy till after 2am for the first two nights on our third & last night I spoke to the bar owner at the horse shoe Irish pub & as we had already visited there he obviously listened & the people in the bar were quieter , Maybe it was because of my request maybe not. The biggest disappointment & the reason I even booked in the first place was the breakfast, take a look at the pictures shown & it looks stunning, Well it was anything but , don’t expect an array of pastries, any jam, basic sauces as you will not find them at this place, not really anything positive at all to write my only advice is book somewhere else , hopefully a agent or advisor from Expedia will contact myself so I can start a claim for a refund, Kind regards, Les

A characterful small hotel on one of the small old town streets - beautiful breakfast room and also roof top terrace . Room was very comfortable and although it looked onto the street it wasn't noisy at all .
