Great view and quiet place

The view here at Afroessa is second to none! Better than that, we stayed in peak season and felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Imerovigli is DEFINITELY the town to stay in when visiting Santorini. Oia is a tourist trap, but we lucked out by staying here. Our host was very welcoming and accommodating and made us feel right at home. The room was a bit cramped for someone tall like me, but you really felt you were getting the authentic Santorini experience. We had our own private balcony overlooking the caldera and felt like royalty when we sat there watching the beautiful sunset. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking to travel to Santorini and skip the touristy crowds! This place was a piece of heaven! Oh, and go to Anogi to eat! Quite literally the best food we have ever had, no question!

The view on the sea (for sunset and all the time) was spectacular. The pathway between Fira and Oia is super nice and the staff was very kind.

Some of the most stunning views on the island. BUT – the place was kind of a mess. The faucet on the sink was falling over. The water pressure was terrible. The beds were small and hard. A bunch of the doors on the property would crash open & closed in the wind at night so it was hard to sleep. It's a cute spot that is badly in need of a remodel. We loved the area of Imerviogli because it was less touristy and had such stunning views (while still being an easy taxi or uber to the other parts of the island). But I would not recommend this as a place to stay.

Lovely hotel and staff. Great service. Lots of lovely restaurants within a very short walk. Shame there was only a wardrobe and no shelves or drawers to unpack our suitcase.

Great hotel with excellent staff and spectacular views. The location was perfect - right in between Oia and Thira. Close enough to the action but quiet. There were plenty of great dining options. Would definitely go back and stay there!

We had a wonderful stay at Afroessa. The location can’t be beat, it’s quiet with an amazing caldera view and feels very private and remote, but is actually just a few minutes walk away from tons of restaurants. The staff were very helpful and even helped us with booking an ATV rental. The hotel is on a cliff which makes it dramatic but I would not recommend for people who struggle with stairs. We booked a hot tub room which was awesome because we enjoyed the sunset every night from our hot tub with some wine…. Much better than fighting the sunset crowds in Oia. We hope to come stay again someday!
