Absolutely stunning views supported by a comfortable room and very friendly and attentive staff. I’m sure there’s lots of competition in the area but we couldn’t have asked for more and found this property to be very good value

This boutique hotel had the best sunset views on the entire Island. You can walk down from the hotel and get right onto the path to Fira or the other direction to Oia. This is a quieter area of the Island which we loved. We could step out our door and have many dining options or eat in on our deck and watch the water and sunsets. It appeared that all the rooms had the same view. Eddy and the other staff were very friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfy and the room had all the amenities we needed. I will definitely go back to this hotel but will stay longer.

Stayed for 4 nights and it was amazing. You get beautiful views of the island. There are many restaurants near by within walking distance. This area isn’t as crowded as Oia and Fira and my boyfriend and I loved that. It was very quiet and lovely. The wifi worked fast, hot water was always available, and they have a bar connected to the pool. The workers are so friendly and kind. They make you feel at home and ensured that all our needs are met. Highly recommend! When looking for a hotel to stay at, I wasn’t so sure which one to choose from. So I’m really happy to have picked Afroessa. You won’t regret it.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The pictures just barely do it justice- the setting is beautiful, the view of the sunset is world-class, and the simple decorating style works perfectly with that. One of my favorite moments of our stay was just sitting by the pool, sipping local wine and watching the sun ho down. I’ll also add that we had a fantastic breakfast on the terrace, so if you stay here be sure to fit that in before heading out for the day. The room itself was pretty simple but comfortable. We stayed right next to the pool, which mean making a choice between opening the shutters to enjoy the view or having more privacy. But there were no issues with noise from other guests using the pool area, so still a great option. What’s most notable about Afroessa Hotel was how kind and helpful the staff was. From the moment we showed up we felt like VIPs even though I’m pretty sure we were in the cheapest room. They called to get us taxis when we needed them, gave us lots of tips about where to go, and helped us get our luggage up the many steps. I especially want to note that they were very welcoming of us as a same-sex couple. Thank you again for a wonderful experience!

Beautiful property, great staff. Could use an arriving and departing hand with luggage up and down the 6-7 flights of stairs though. Rather weak cup of coffee offered as if free was charged 10 euro end of stay? Otherwise no complaints, would stay again.

Good stuff: - The people who run this place really are great. I think it's only like 3 people who run the whole thing, but they are on top of everything and will go out of their way to help you. I think one dude actually lives(?) at the hotel, so there is always someone there if you need it. - I had transfers to/from the airport booked through them, with one of them being at 4am. Both transfers were exactly on time, no issues. - We stayed in a room that had a private hot tub. The room was lovely, very clean and had a wonderful view. All rooms will have a great view. The hot tub was awesome, but if you don't have one then they have a pool too. The pool was never crowded. - This was probably the quietest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Some minor not so great stuff: - The Wi-Fi was pretty bad, at least in our room. - The hotel doesnt have a restaurant, bar, or any other options outside of breakfast. This isn't a huge deal, except that it's at the far end of everything so it's a good walk to get to other (particularly cheaper) restaurants. The hotels next door have restaurants but they are expensive. - Santorini doesn't have potable drinking water from the faucet, you shouldnt drink it. This is a whole island thing, not just for this hotel. The hotel gives you free bottles of water, which is good/necessary, but I wish they would've stocked the whole fridge with them. I kept having to ask for more water and ended up just buying a whole bunch.
