The lights in the room could have been brighter.

Visited today for our ladies who lunch Xmas get together , first class , from the greeting on arrived to when we left . Food was 5 star couldn’t fault anything , nice warm plates , beautiful food so tasty , keep up the fab work . Staff are the best every xx Merry Christmas to you all see you in 2026

Great location, all staff incredible, will be stopping again.

We stayed at The George Hotel for two nights. On the positive side, the room was clean, spacious, and well presented, with good amenities. The hotel’s location is also excellent, right in the village and very convenient for getting around. Breakfast tasted good with lots of options and made fresh for you on order. However, our stay was let down by significant noise issues. We were in Room 14 (twin room), and from around 7am each morning there was a lot of noise coming from outside the room. This included staff talking, moving items, phones ringing, and what sounded like kitchen preparations. Unfortunately, this disturbed our sleep and made early mornings unavoidable. Given the price, which we felt was quite expensive, we expected a more peaceful experience. With better soundproofing or quieter early-morning operations, this could be a much more enjoyable stay. Small improvements regarding staff noise in the mornings would make a huge improvement.
