Comfortable bed and a hearty full English breakfast

Lovely one night break, this was a last minute booking, after checking the reviews, we decide the Howbeck would be ideal for our needs. We stayed in Deepdale which is classed as a superior room, lots of the reviews mention spa baths, however this room only has a shower cubicle. This room is also at the front of the hotel, so there is traffic noise. The room was clean, and spacious. Arriving in February, we expected the radiators to be on, but they weren’t. so the room was colder than we expected. We presume they had been turned off by the previous guests. The breakfast choice had to be made the night before, the Cumberland breakfast was enjoyable. The best thing about this hotel is the location , a few minutes walk into Windermere and 20 minutes walk into Bowness. Being able to leave the car in the hotel car park, after checking out was a bonus.

We had to reschedule our stay due to Covid19 symptoms. The hotel manager and staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Great customer service,and we are looking forward to our stay.

Lovely hotel in the lakes. Fantastic place to explore Windermere. We had a fabulous spa bath in our room which we very much enjoyed. The only thing that slightly let us down was an overly soft mattress for our taste but would still absolutely stay again!

We had a lovely 2 night stay here, the bed was so comfortable had a great days sleep would like to know where the mattress is from We will definitely stay here again the staff are friendly and informative nothing was to much trouble

Friendly staff, breakfast was delicious. A very nice room with a lovely spa tub and not too much trouble when a travel cot was requested. Will definitely come back!!

Nice little hotel. Free parking onsite. Greeted by a lovely member of staff who showed us to our room. Good sized room. Location is excellent, only a few minutes by car to the tourist attractions. Breakfast is freshly cooked. Very well run hotel with lovely, helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.
