Howbeck Guest House

The room we were given did not at all look like the picture. The room was ok but not 5 star rating it needed some DIY or TLC doing and for a family room the nude pictures were a little unexpected, especially when your six year old asked about the naked ladies.lol The staff and the atmosphere really made us feel welcome and the breakfast was a lovely start to the day ahead. So extra bonus points for the staff at Howbeck Hotel, thats what makes it a 5 star hotel.

Hotel was really lovely....room was clean and very spaceous...bed was unbelieable comfy. They had an honesty bar within the lounge which we had never come across before and thought this was a lovely idea. The breakfast was really nice and with a great varity of items..we will definately be returning in the future and will be using the SPA

Really friendly helpful staff room a little cramped but for two adults and a 9yr old in them old bnbs in Windermere got to work with the room you have.

Excellent staff.

We goofed! Have traveled the world for fifty years. It is a guest house not a hotel. Lady at the desk and in charge was wonderful. The site was not suitable for 80 year olds. Left early, leaving two nights payment on the table. If you visit the Lake District do not pick a Bank Holiday!

Fairly comfortable Hotel, rather expensive for the facilities offered.

Very peaceful and relaxing stay with helpful staff and excellent service. Would definitely stay again.

Friendly staff, close enough to the station, around 20 min on foot to the lake. We stayed in the ground floor, so we couldn't sleep with the windows open. The room was clean, had a queen bed and an extra single bed, the breakfast was cooked to order. Must specify your dietery needs beforehand though. Overall good experience.

Had a very enjoyable relaxing stay. Very nice hotel, great room, friendly efficent staff, great breakfast, very close to shops bars rastauraunts.
