Rich Resort Beachside Hotel

The resort staff are all very nice. The ladies at the front desk are very kind and helpful. This place has a family friendly atmosphere. There are even adorable little children just goofing around. Everywhere we went, we were greeted with a smile. The swing bar, just across the street, really adds to the experience. The staff have really treated us well. Me and my dad really appreciate the kindness. THis is our first trip out of the United States and we weren't sure what to expect. SO far, no complaints.

low cost, right on the beach, pretty clean, and they even fold your towels into swans.

This was my second stay at this hotel. It is even better value than before! Newly remodelled rooms but the same prices I paid like 3 years ago. Definitely the best cheap accomodation on Lamai Beach. The location is also great right near the beach and I could basically walk everywhere in Lamai without taking a taxi or renting a moped. The reception staff are great as well and can book pretty much and tour you want. Definite recommend!

This is my 2nd stay at Rich Resort as always great value for money and great location, can't fault it. Stay away if you like to pick faults with every tiny detail. We love it and we will be back. Could do with some better sun loungers on the beach at swing bar the new mats are soo uncomfortable, so we headed further down the beach to Bamboos much much better.

The whole hotel was let down by the service, the woman at the front desk was consistently rude and kept swearing when showing us to our room. When we needed to book boat tickets I was told to come back the next morning to book as the office was closed. When I arrived at 9am as instructed, the lady behind the desk told me I should have come at 7am as I was too late as they are all sold out, when I returned again another lady said that thy didn't sell tickets at all...5 minutes later I saw her booking and selling boat tickets to two other customers for various destinations. We had a fan room which was far too hot, we didn't sleep both nights because the sheer temperature was overwhelming. Our room didn't get cleaned either. To add to our stay, we were also threatened at knife point by a beach vendor selling massages to pay her 200 baht otherwise she would get the mafia on us. Overall the stay was horrendous and I would never go back to the hotel or Lamai beach, you are better off paying more and staying round the corner at Chaweng beach which is much more beautiful with clearer water and whiter, softer sands.

Stay was good, only the staff needs to be a little more friendly. Specially the lady at the desk. Also we found a big cockroach inn our room.
