Maritime Beach Club

The property itself is very old and appears to have seen years of maintenance complete with poorly painted drywall in bathrooms. The shower had very little water pressure. The forced sales talk just to get a parking pass was annoying. We arrived our first night after given the key to find our unit was unlocked with the door slightly open. The ac in one bedroom was very poor and required the door to be left open to get air from the living room ac. The location was great and walking distance to several shops and restaurants.

The location is perfect! The staff were all very nice! The room was clean! Coffee machine downstairs from 5 am-10 am. Parking was easy! Multiple showers to rinse sand off everything!

I thought a standing balcony would be okay,but you really can’t even stand. WiFi 3/10 Air conditioning unit 2/10- it was so loud and cut on and off every 3 minutes- also took up half of the standing balcony The pull out sofa was literally a brick. The bathroom looked nothing like the picture. The counter was so low and in desperate need of an upgrade. You have to take your own trash. No where to really hang towels /bathing suits - 2command hooks on bathroom door…

Up front, we are owners at this property and have been delightfully here for almost 30 years. We love being here. But no resort is without its positives and negatives. If one is to exchange here, one should be well informed so not to be surprised or disappointed. Be aware this is an older resort - well kept and clean, but reflective of its era. Rooms (of note baths) are a bit small as is the pool. The current management company is doing a good job, but, like many, is very driven to sell its resort program. While not the greatest pressure we've had, they work hard for the sell. Be aware and give a firm "no" if such is not your desire. Internet and cell service can be spotty, of note during storms. There is no room safe - but in all our years, we've never missed having one. Positives? A ton. First, the resort is right on the beach. The wide beach and ocean are a 45 second walk from the lobby - it's great for kids. The staff is friendly and kind. Any problems we have encountered have been dealt with in a reasonable time. The area is not overly developed, generally residential and one can walk to good restaurants, Yet shopping and franchise restaurants are a short drive away. Furniture, bed and kitchen are up to date and comfortable. If a slower pace, a wide stretch of sand or a relaxing dip in the ocean are central, this is a great place to be. That said, if bright lights and entertainment are your thing, it's a 15 minutes drive in Myrtle Beach.

We had a two bedroom, two bath unit. All of the units face the ocean. There was direct access to the beach. The pool was great. The hot tub was out of commission for a lot of the time that we were there.

I didn’t like that there was no shade on the beach. You had to rent umbrellas. I think for the cost of the place, it should be included. They could have some that you could borrow for free.

Beach, hot water, kitchen and supplies, comfortable bed, parking pass for a guest.

No balcony for high rates, asked for extra towels and got lectured :( Dust under the furniture:(

Location, close to beach with plenty of shopping/ restaurants nearby—- but not the crowded boardwalk scene.

Room was a little dated/ dingy. AC was noisy.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this stay was incredibly disappointing and needs to be shared so others can make an informed decision. The condo was visibly dirty upon arrival. The baseboards were caked with dirt, sand, and hair, clearly not cleaned in quite some time. The floors were sticky in places, with debris left under furniture, making it obvious that a proper cleaning had not been done before our stay. The air conditioning units didn’t cool the rooms effectively, and the entire condo felt damp and muggy. On top of that, the room smelled strongly of urine, which only worsened the longer we stayed. The most alarming issue was in the master bedroom, where the AC unit was visibly covered in black mold—a serious health concern. Several furniture handles were falling off, adding to the overall feeling of neglect and poor maintenance. For the price and expectations of a relaxing, clean vacation, this was a major letdown. I hope the property management team takes immediate steps to address these issues. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend this condo to anyone.
