Staybridge Suites East Stroudsburg - Poconos by IHG

Close to everything , located by main road.

No ice bin at rooms. Smelly garbage bags left outside the rooms.

The location was really close to where we were staying, also room was very clean and room

We were looking to watch netflix on tv , the remote didn’t seem to be the right one for the tv so it wasn’t even really working to change the channel correctly. Nothing serious , everything else was great

Unfortunately there was not much to say about this place that could be positive.

We had the opportunity to visit this location and I must say for a first time experience. I will never return to this place. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Customer service at the front desk was terrible. We checked in at 10:00, by 10:20 we placed a call to the front desk to get toilet cleaned because the environmental services crew failed to clean the toilet thoroughly. We were told someone will be there. The previous guest left excrement stains inside the toilet. At 10:45 I called back to get an update on the cleaning crew and was told they are not onsite and have gone for the day. When asked the staff on the phone who was on call essentially to assist, she told us that that was not her job and refused to assist. She only offered a scrub brush and cleaner for us to clean it ourselves. Considering the time and no availability of another room at the time. We reluctantly cleaned the toilet. In the morning I spoke with a manager and advised her of the situation and was told my room would be credited back to us and the stay would be on the hotel due to having to clean excrement. Additionally the sink in the vanity area would not stop running. It literally ran all night at a slow steady pour. we tried many times to turn the sink off and even reported it to the staff to no avail. Later that night following up the matter after retuning from skiing we were told the manager that promised to credit the room was fired and they would not honor the promise to rectify the matter. We requested a contact for the manager that would be responsible for covering in the absence of the terminated manager and was advised that the number provided was to the front desk and they would transfer us from there. This was by far the worst experience one could have had. We cancelled our second night and went home. Never again!

The hotel was new and well kept. I liked that we were able to travel with our pets.

There was several days of NO HOT food, ran out of food before breakfast was over. Days with no bowls for cereal or oatmeal!!! Very POOR management.
