Minos Village

We are currently on our last day at Minos village after being here for 10 nights! This hotel is the perfect hidden gem. The rooms are spotless, modern and have everything you need. I brought my hairdryer and have not used it once as the ones provided is fabulous. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment room 301 overlooking the pool. The hotel is nice and small with around 20 sunbeds, some days you needed to pick your patch but most of the time there were some available. If not the beach is a sort walk away with loads of choice for sunbeds. The hotel is situated next to 5 taverna all traditional Greek food which we have eaten at most. Then a short walk down the hill takes you to the main strip. The pool bar is where you eat breakfast with a range of choice from hot English breakfast to meats, cheeses and pastries. They also have a snack menu, ice creams and drinks throughout the day. All of the staff are super friendly and always happy to help with anything your need. We really have had the best time and can not wait till tell our friends and family about the hotel. We will definitely be back! Thank you for having us ❤️

Really can’t fault this hotel. Arrived very early hours of the morning and as previously mentioned in a review instructions are posted on the door but you do need to phone or WhatsApp to get a code for key cards. We had two rooms which were located on opposite sides of the hotel complex but the site is small enough for it to not matter. Breakfast always had plenty of choice (particular shout out for the mini pancakes) and replenished regularly. All staff and especially the cleaners work hard to ensure your stay is relaxing and peaceful. Hotel is located in a quiet area but with plenty of restaurants literally on the doorstep and the main strip with supermarkets, bars, shops and access to the beach only 5mins away. Cocktails at the hotel (happy hour 3-5) were simply amazing and made properly with no shortcuts on the measures. The area of Agios Marina is superb with great transport links to Chania (€2 per person each way) Visited a few of the local restaurants and found them reasonable in terms of value and food was lovely. Bonus in that most offer a free dessert and raki! I wouldn’t hesitate to book if you are considering Minos Village don’t think you’d be disappointed.

What can I say other than probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, the place is absolutely spotless, staff can’t do enough for you, even bring drinks to your table or around the pool. The food is amazing and the choice for breakfast brilliant. Location could not be better between six and eight excellent restaurants two minutes away, and five minute walk to Main Street which is full of bars and restaurants. The bar staff at the hotel are brilliant Joseph and Zelda will make you holiday one you will never forget. Once again brilliant 👍🏻👍🏻😀😀

Pool area slightly small

The location is excellent, just a few minutes from the beaches and everything you need. It’s also a convenient base for exploring the Chania area of the island. Parking is available, and there are good restaurants nearby. The room was spacious.

This is just my personal opinion. The room was somewhat dirty upon arrival, and we found some ants crawling around, likely due to the location. It wasn't a major issue, but it wasn't pleasant either. The room was spacious but had old furniture that had a bit of an old smell. There was also a canalization-type odor coming from the bathroom, which we tried to alleviate by opening the window, but it wasn't a nice welcome. The breakfast could be much improved; it's the standard hotel breakfast but not a good one. The coffee was tasteless, bland, and watery from a machine.

Brilliant location, 5 minutes from the beach, local shops and some lovely restaurants. Staff were all very polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend and return.

The beds could have been a bit softer but this is personal preference and a few more sunbeds would have been good.
