Minos Village

We had a fantastic week here. Everything about the hotel was perfect. Great location, lots of good restaurants nearby and the beach was a short walk away. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly. Great breakfast and they also do very good lunches.

A second visit to Minos Village says it all. Quiet but not remote, it has a lovely, intimate feel and great staff. We had breakfast included in our booking, which was always plentiful and varied. Our studio room was huge, very clean, serviced every day except Sundays, and the air conditioning was free to use. Whilst not huge, the pool is big enough to do a few lengths, and we always managed to get a sunbed! Happy hour at the bar from 3.30 to 5.30, with great cocktails! We had no issues with parking our hire car, and there are many restaurants, bars, and supermarkets within easy walking distance. 5 minutes walk down to the 'strip', which is quite touristy but well served by buses for exploring, and the beach, which is great for all. Would recommend 😊

We have just returned from Crete having stayed at Minos Village for 10 days. We did not expect to much as we have never taken a holiday this late before. But Minos Village turned out to be more than we hoped for. Room was spotless, rooms cleaned daily, fresh towels, air conditioning, safety deposit box, everything we needed. We were within 50 yards of abut 8 family run Tavernas serving typical Greek dishes. The food was wonderful. Most days we spent on the beach at Mireas Beach where we were looked after all day, the sunbeds were 8 euros for the day and excellent food. The breakfast at Minos was excellent with a wide variety of food on offer. All the staff at Minos made you welcome. A special thank you to Joseph and Zelda who were always willing to do anything for you. Hopefully we will back next year.

What a little gem, the place was wonderful, breakfast great choice and great terrace overlooking the pool to eat it on. Room very spacious and comfortable, great shower and kitchenette. Air con and tv. Few minutes to beach. The hotel was surrounded by Greek tavernas serving traditional lovely food. A special thank you to Joseph and Selda who were always ready to help.

We booked this hotel on the strength of the reviews and we were not disappointed! The hotel room was lovely, bigger than we thought with separate bedroom, seating area with small TV, kitchenette with fridge and small shower room. Spotless clean, fresh towels daily, two aircon units - one in bedroom and one in seating area. Friendly staff and great location, near several family tavernas, all serving great food - depending on when you want to eat, recommend booking. Couple of things I wish we’d known reception shuts at 10pm. We arrived after that to a note pasted on the door with a phone number to ring to access the key safe outside to get your key. Luckily another guest helped us. Also to book a late checkout is 15% of the total price of your stay - in our case €140 , too steep for us. These would not stop us going to Minos Village but would have helped knowing beforehand. Short walk to sandy beach and selection of beach bars. Nireas was our favourite, 8€ for 2 sunbeds and parasol all day, great food/drinks in the bar itself, spotless toilets and lovely staff. They’ll bring your drinks and food to your sunbed if that’s your thing! Also best sandy beach in our opinion. Local buses and train day trips within easy reach - everyone we came across was friendly and helpful. We’re already planning for our next trip to this lovely resort.

Just returned from a 9 night stay and cannot fault these apartments. So clean and comfortable. Breakfast had all that you needed in a relaxed chilled atmosphere - particularly liked the fresh pancakes and chocolate sauce! Staff all very friendly. Some lovely traditional restaurants right on the doorstep and beach only a 5 minute walk away. We have eaten so well can’t fault it and would return.

Every thing was done to put guests first. Staff were very friendly but discreet.. The room was quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast generous
