Minos Village

Kept beautifully clean. Lovely staff Perfect location surrounded by Tavernas!

Just returned from another wonderful stay at Minos Village in Crete, and it truly never disappoints. The peaceful location is perfect – tucked away yet close enough to everything you need. A special mention to Joseph and Zelda at the cosy hotel bar – always welcoming, friendly, and full of good humour, they really made our pool days something to look forward to. The cleaners and hotel staff were, as always, fantastic – everything was spotless and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for another lovely holiday – we will be back one day!

Raportul calitate pret nu mi s-a parut corect, aveam asteptari mai mari. Am fost cazati intr-o camera la ultimul etaj unde era soare continuu, era foarte cald si depindeai 100% de aer conditionat, inclusiv noaptea. Am rugat sa schimbam, dar nu s-a putut. Balconul nu putea fi folosit pentru ca nu exista o copertina, o umbrela, nimic, nu era niciodata umbra. Drumul spre plaja, in varianta mai scurta, te ducea printre pubelele de gunoi ale unui restaurant. Preferam sa luam masina ca sa ajungem la plaja. Zona de mic dejun nu facea fata uneori cererii, s-a intamplat sa gasim mesele ocupate si sa asteptam sa se elibereze sau ne-am asezat la o masa libera la soare si a fost neplacut. Daca nu plateam 1200 eur/ 5 nopti/ familie, asteptarile poate erau mai rezonabile. Dar comparativ cu primele 5 nopti, cand am fost cazati in Rethymno si am platit 800 eur/ 5 nopti, iar conditiile au fost excelente, aici am fost putin dezamagiti.

Friendly and service minded staff. Good breakfast, pool and facility for 3 stars. The bathroom/WC had a bad smell. Otherwise ok overall.

What a wonderful hotel this is, small, with a really relaxing atmosphere. It is spotlessly clean, rooms are cleaned every day except Sundays & the extremely comfortable beds were changed 3 times during our stay. All the staff were friendly, always cheerful & helpful. It was nice that we were able to prepare our own food in the room on a couple of occasions we didn’t want to eat out. There are half a dozen family run tavernas on the doorstep, all serving excellent traditional food. The lovely sandy beach is just a 10 minute walk away, and easy bus access to Chania. I hope to return again one day.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, spotlessly clean servicing the rooms 6/7 days . Pool area small but never too busy , breakfast great choice available. Location was excellent with a handful of restaurants around the corner of our hotel and a 10min walk to beach with great value beach bars offering sun beds at 5 euro pp or free in some places with a minimum spend. If you compared this to other Greek island such as Rhodes the beds were really cheap Plenty of restaurants all offering excellent food at reasonable prices. Chania is definitely worth a visit , beautiful harbour with stunning views and shops galore to treat yourself . Platanias about 20mins walk with even more restaurants and bars. We would return 👌🏻

Absolutely superb stay at the Minos Village. We were a group of 7, family and friends, aged 18 to 54. We had 3 studio apartments between us and we were very impressed by how modern and spacious they were. They were cleaned on a daily basis and fresh towels too. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, happy to assist and organise taxis etc. The breakfast is very good and well organised. The cocktails prepared by Neddy at the bar are outstanding, we enjoyed plenty of them! Happy hour was a daily staple! There is a lovely family atmosphere at the Minos Village, much nicer than a large resort hotel. There are some wonderful tavernas right on the doorstep, all serving excellent food. The beach is a 10 minute walk away and it is beautiful and sandy, both on the shore and in the sea, so no stones/pebbles to deal with. Plenty of sunbeds/parasols to hire. We used Nireas Beach Bar beds, which were 10 euro for a pair, with parasol for the day, drinks/food service to your bed and use of toilet facilities. The staff were so friendly and attentive, in fact everybody we encountered in Agia Marina was! We loved watching the beautiful sunsets every evening. A trip to Chania old town harbour is a must, lots of pretty shops, bars and restaurants. Honestly I cannot fault anything, we had the best time!

Siisti, uudehko/remontoitu ja hyvin ylläpidetty hotelli. Huoneet ja yleiset tilat viihtyisiä, tosi kiva pienehkö allas. Hiljainen ja rauhallinen. Marketit, ravintolat, ranta jne kävelymatkan päässä. Platanias ja Hania taksimatkan päässä. Runsas aamupala, allasbaari vallan riittävä (ruoka, juomat). Suositus!

Löysimme viimeisenä yönä yksittäisen torakan sohvan alta.

The hotel is in a lovely position with several really nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Also supermarkets close by too. I would say the hotel is a relatively small, intimate property which is kept extremely clean. The apartment had everything we could have wanted and the beds were comfortable. The aircon is a godsend which was in both the bedroom and the lounge. All the staff are very friendly and Anna on Reception goes that extra mile to help with any questions/information. The breakfast was quite extensive (more choice than we were expecting) and very tasty. About a 10 minute walk will take you to the beach and lots more Restaurants . We tended to go to Gorgona Beach which had numerous sunbeds on either the beach or a grassed (more shaded area) and a lovely bar/restaurant. 10 euros for 2 beds and an umbrella for the whole day. All in all Aghia Marina and the Minos Village is a fantastic place to stay and highly recommended. A week just wasn't long enough sadly.
