Villa Le Barone

This was our 11th visit to Villa le Barone in Panzano. We found this gem of a hotel in 2006 and love coming back. Corso and Jacqueline are the hosts and owners, and along with all of the staff make this a special place. The location is amazing with beautiful views of the vineyards and olive groves that surround Panzano. The rooms are delightful, and no two are the same. We rarely eat out for dinner as the restaurant serves amazing food, and the vino selection is all from local vineyards. If you want a base for exploring Tuscany, which offers comfort and relaxation, along with amazing hospitality, this is it. Thank you, Jacqueline, Corso, and your staff for another memorable visit. Before I begin my review, I want to apologize to Corso and all the fine people who make up Villa le Baron for this delayed review. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Villa le Baron back in August, but a backlog from work and life in general delayed my review. As many have commented, the scenery and the grounds at Villa le Baron are absolutely beautiful. I am attaching photos as I believe only a poet should explain the beauty that surrounds Villa le Baron, and as I do not master the art of poetry, photos shall suffice. After checking in, which was smooth and pleasant, I explored the grounds. I was immediately drawn to the garden, where I was greeted by Corso. He introduced himself in English, and confirmed my language. He saw my interest in the garden, and gifted me a bouquet of herbs and a deliciously ripe tomato. I still have those herbs. The next day I wanted to explore Panzano, but my husband was still jet lagged from our flight from Toronto, and I do not drive. As it was August in Tuscany, you can imagine my lack of desire to walk. I inquired with front desk about car services, and the hostess was courteous enough to reach out to the owner, Corso, to see if he was available and willing to drive me. At this time, I was unaware Corso was the owner of Villa le Baron. Corso was available, and graciously offered to chaperone me through Panzano. He introduced me to shopkeepers and townspeople, and afterward he chaperoned me through the medieval village of Castello Di Volpaia. It was absolutely magical. The room we stayed in was a standard room, which was beautiful, clean, and has AC. There were fresh flowers in our room. Corso is an impressive and spry gentleman, who speaks Italian, English, and French. He presents himself with dignity and decorum, which is reflected on all those who work at Villa le Baron. Simply put, the hospitality is unmatched. The food, too, was in my opinion unmatched during our short stay in Panzano. Villa le Baron's restaurant was our favourite place to eat in Panzano. In the morning there is a buffet-style breakfast that is as diverse as it is impressive. The lunch menu is fantastic and consistent, and the dinner menu is refined and changes daily. On our last night I ordered the Osso Bucco for dinner, which was in no exaggeration the best Osso Bucco I've had to date. What else can I say other than thank you to everyone at Villa de Baron. My husband and I understand the magic that is Villa le Baron, and why people from far away countries come back to Panzano simply to stay there. We look forward to coming back, and wish everyone at Villa le Baron nothing but the best.

This was my first time in Tuscany, and I had incredibly high dreams and expectations for what Tuscan vacation and Tuscan villa would be all about. But Villa Le Barone was everything I had dreamed about and more! The villa is absolutely gorgeous with an authentic historical feel, and the surrounding countryside is stunning. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lucia and Stephania stand out, and the count and countess went out of their way to say hello to and befriend every guest. But what stands out the most and what I will always remember is the sheer beauty of the place, from the countryside vistas to the smallest of decorating touches. HIGHLY recommended!

Exceptional... what more is there to say. The family who owns it care, and stay at the property themselves. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The property is stunning. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. The pool and breakfasts were the best part!

Quiet countryside at its best! Beautiful rolling hills, great breakfast and elegant dinner.

Google maps is not always your friend. Look closely before adventuring. Google maps does not distinguish between first trails and paved roads.

Picturesque property overlooking the Tuscan hillside. The physical building was very charming and added to our Tuscan experience!

It was great… however the locks on room 28 need to be fixed.

Villa Le Barone is an incredibly beautiful and unique Property. I was a solo traveler and had the most enjoyable time with the family who owns the Villa and met so many interesting people. It is truly a feeling like you are home. I met many people who have been coming here for -( years and come back every year. The breakfast is incredible, the best cafe latte ever. Definitely dine with them for dinner or lunch. It’s wonderful to read a book by the refreshing pool (and it was hot out) and just walk up to have lunch in the gorgeous garden. The owners Jacqueline & Corso are wonderful humans and they were so friendly to invite me to dinner with them, as they saw me dining alone. Truly enjoyed every minute here.

An absolutely beautiful property in the perfect location. The room was clean and the staff on-site were wonderful. Would highly recommend this place to everyone and looking forward to being back!
