Staff at reception were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast are was dirt, and food was not great. Way better to go for breakfast to some of the local caffes. Bathroom could be cleaner

The hotel is situated well for shopping, there is pubs either side of the entrance but no noise or disturbance that we encountered. Its handy for an easy walk to train or bus stations. The staff were really nice and helpful, apologetic when our room was not ready on our arrival. The room itself was clean and spacious, there was a safe but this was locked. Plenty storage space. The bed was comfortable but OMG the pillows were so useless, far too soft looked like the stuffing had been taken out. The only other gripe was the lack of any view and that the room was dark, we were only staying overnight but had i stayed longer i would have asked for another room.

Booked as it said 4 stairs and nice pictures of rooms on the site. This was maybe years ago! The rooms needs refurbishment. Room -dark and it was this odd one with roof windows so no view at all -covered with bird increments /I know it is city of seagulls/ but it affects overall experience/ -carpet have not seen vacuum cleaner for while. - 2 big stains on the walls Bed - everybody knows that the pilows for decor are never cleaned so that I always put on side and the 1 pillow for person to sleep - despite folding it did not provide enough comfort to rest head. Just flat pillow. No headboard for the bed. So literally nothing else than wall provide you support to watch the TV. Bathroom was partially the only thing what I liked except the shower drain which was opened.No holder for shampoo. It was just metal ring which did not fit with size of provided shampoo bottles. I pressumed they changed brand of supplier of these products and therefore it does not fit anymore. The small bottles - one was half used and we had twice body lotion. That means somebody let it there. It should be always uniformed if you label hotel as 4 stars. Lastly towels different way rolled up. 2 spare ones in cupboard - first had stain not sure what it was and second holes. Service from the team was good You can borrow iron and the board - worth to occasionally wash that board cover. It was stained. I would not iron a white shirt on it. Staff booked us taxi.

Convenient location for city centre, but if you're a light sleeper, make sure your room doesn't look onto Market Street. Bars next door meant a lot of noise until the small hours and then busy with traffic from 5am.

Nice clean room

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room wasnt the nicest. Pillow was all stained but did get clean ones when we asked for more. Glasses in room were filthy. Shower head was broken so couldnt get a proper wash.

Comfortable enough but not that clean and a poor breakfast.

My room was never serviced for a three night stay

arriving in the evening in temperatures of minus 5 to find no heating on in the room. Took a shower to heat up- shower drain blocked and tray filling up with water. had to leave heating on overnight which was clunky and noisy so interrupted sleep- this is never a 4* hotel
