Tea Bungalow

Nice heritage hotel in fort kochi, but service could be better. The vibes of service was more like ginger or any other self service hotels. Location is fantastic. Facility upkeep in great. Breakfast was ok. We stayed in the outhouse rooms which were decent size, bathrooms are big - Ok stay.

We selectedTea Bungalow Bassu the unusual name n the pictures.. and we weren’t disappointed. In fact far from it! Beautifully done up property with history. Stylish n comfortable. The staff is extremely warm n helpful. They did all they could to make our stay most comfortable n happy. Both Poornima and Rakesh helped us with local shopping details to food etc. we plan to visit kochi once again just to stay at TEA BUNGALOW ❤️

Class and elegant are the words that describe this heritage hotel. The rooms are unique and each one of them is decorated as per the theme of the cities that came in the spice trade route. The restaurant cooks decent food and the entire place gives you a homely feeling. The swimming pool is clean and well maintained and serves as an excellent stress buster on a hot day. A great place for private parties or friends and family travelling in a group.

Beautiful small boutique villa in the heart of Fort Kochi with all facilities and great service standards. Rooms are big, neat and clean with nice bathrooms, toiletries. The swimming pool is also very nice and well maintained. Overall a great place to stay in Fort Kochi.

Great hotel, wonderful large rooms, huge bathroom. Aircon was the most efficient we had in India & doesn’t turn off when you remove the card so come back to a chilled room. Pool was lovely in the garden surrounds. Breakfast was great and it’s walking distance to many restaurants and the major sights. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

The Tea Bungalow is a small charming, historic hotel in a quiet area of Kochi, yet within walking distance of everything. The reception staff set the scene for a professional yet friendly establishment. The building is early/ mid 20th century, used by the Brooke Bond tea company staff, but has been sensitively renovated to 21st standards. There is a central eating area with bedrooms off, and more bedrooms upstairs. There is a verandah in the back with tables and chairs, looking out over a garden and small pool. The staff are to hand at all times, providing meals, and drinks and snacks throughout the day. Our room was large and comfortable, with equally large bathroom, and...possibly the quietest air conditioning unit in the world! I recommend this hotel totally.
