Courtyard by Marriott Hangzhou Wulin

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, the pool and gym were very nice. Quick to switch rooms on request, providing ample water, helping with recommendations, and the breakfast was incredible for the price(plus they allowed take away). Was the equivalent of a 4 or 5 star hotel in America. Truly a great experience. 5m drive to Westlake.

Swimming pool was clean and convenient. Location is perfect, well centered in the city and great view if on a higher floor.

Slippers in the room were too small and they did not offer alternative sizes

Great hotel, convenient location, clean and very well maintained! We stayed for 2 nights and we enjoyed our room, it was spacious and clean, complete with all amenities required for a short stay. Location: 9/10 Cleanliness: 8/10 Surrounding: 9/10 Maintenance & Upkeep: 8/10 Gym: 9/10 The location is about 20-30 mins from Hangzhou East Railway Station depending on traffic, in a central part of Hangzhou city. Walkable to parts of West Lake (Xi Hu), and a block away from a large shopping plaza (Hangzhou Shopping Mall) with great food options. Right opposite is a road full of amazing coffee joints, such as Section Coffee, Demo Coffee, Manner Coffee etc. and small eats. The gym was very well equipped and well maintained, they had a treadmill, elliptical, rower, bike, couple of other cardio equipment and a full range of weights and strength training equipment, even a yoga and barre room. Clean and spacious room, great service!

Clean

The location was very central, and convenient to get around to Xihu Lake, and Hangzhou Tower. Few hotel staff were supportive e.g. when I asked them for help with the air-conditioner setting, one lady helped me by delivering a compactable heater to my room. They also helped me check with a restaurant I would like to go to and booked a taxi.

Personally, it didn't meet my expectations in terms of the welcoming of the staff and also the room. I requested for upper floor but got assigned to a lower floor and there was no explanation for why. The corridor of the 4th floor had an unpleasant smell. Upon check-in, I did inform the hotel that my purse got stolen including the card I gave on the website. so I gotta change the payment method. Apart from not hearing any sympathy, he made a face like I was being ridiculous when I told him that I wanna solve the problem by using my cousin's credit card. My brain understood the procedures of the hotel but my heart felt bad. For packaging of the bathroom amenities should be upgraded. It looked below the standard of the products the four star hotel would use.
