I travelled here with my family including young children. I want to start of by saying we was worried about coming here because of the recent reviews and we was very close to changing hotels, and lets just say we wish we did.
First of all i want to talk about the false advertisement online about "Entertainment", there was none! Every single day there was banging music around the pool which we don't mind as it brings the holiday vibes, but unfortunately it was all pure Turkish music and the same songs over and over again, there was no English. Regarding the entertainment it was non existent, every night we sat by the pool hoping something exciting would happen, but it just insisted on watching the manager of the entertainment lap around a holiday maker, flirting and making it all about her, the rest of us holiday makers didn't matter, unless you was Turkish and enjoyed the music. On day two the hot drinks machine ran out of hot chocolate, when we asked if it could be topped up, the only thing they would say would be "Finished", this also happened with other all inclusive food and drinks (vodka, butter, pepsi etc).
I complained at reception of the lack of choice, and the snack bar closing and things running out and not being topped up, and they responded with "its end of season, everything finished". Which i find is very disappointing bare in mind you've paid for all inclusive.
The rooms were quite nice, we had a very large room facing the sea, with two bedrooms and a lounge area with 3 balconies; unfortunately all need major refurbishments, we had skirting board half on and off, and the laminate flooring was caved in, cracked and had holes, but they were somewhat cleaned by maids. A few times we had to contact reception as we didn't have fresh towels or little to non bedding, or bins weren't emptied. My family who had a different room to us had the ceiling leaking all on their bed, we contacted reception and all they did was wipe it clean and covered it with filler. My other family member who had a smaller room on the other side of the hotel had to complain as when they woke up in the morning their view was of about 100 bin bags and had a awful stench. When they complained to reception they tried to argue that there was no smell, but clearly there was and it was bad! When we saw the maids they were friendly but did not speak much English at all, and to be honest the rooms were cleaned to a low standard and resulted in us having to clean things ourselves.
On arrival we had a gentleman who fetched our bags and took them to our room, who was helpful and kind. There wasn't trouble getting beds, if anything the hotel was just dead.
There are stray cats and dogs which is so sad to see, i spent most of my time feeding them all, they were all very friendly. The bar staff was friendly but the choice of drinks were appalling unless you like Pepsi, Vodka or lager. No staff knew how to make a cocktail, and when you would ask for one it was just a major concoction of anything they had there at the time.
The food was very very poor for a 4 star. It was freezing cold all the time, every single day was the same and it was all food that we do not eat being English. It consisted on this black looking meat which was apparently Turkey? There was trays of food which literally looked like a pile of seaweed. Every night was mash, rice, pitta bread, and some sort of meat on the bone which did not look appetizing. If things weren't eaten at lunch, it was just reheated and put back out. When the snack bar was actually open, they served chips, salad, burgers and onion rings, we survived of that as everything else was just so poor. When we did manage to see another English family, they were also complaining about the food.
The water slides were open for a couple hours in the morning and a couple of hours in the afternoon, we had lots of fun on these. The beach was nice with two different jetties to be able to swim from and also a jetty in the middle to swim too and jump from which was fun. The sea has a hell of a lot of seaweed and quite a few random things in it such as rope and bricks? There is water sports on site which is astronomical prices.
There was nothing to do outside the hotel, no tourist shops or restaurants. There is only a supermarket opposite the hotel which is sort of like an Aldi in the Uk. You can find mostly everything you need. If you want to go shopping or go into the towns then you will need to book a taxi which isn't cheap and can be anywhere from £24 to £40 each way.
There is a little shop on site which we fount handy for essentials, and i must add the man who owns it is absolutely lovely and generous. If it wasn't for him we would have been stuck quite a few times, so a big shout out to him.
If you have a late flight home like us, you are not allowed to keep your room, even if your disabled or have a baby. We was told no, even though the hotel was literally dead and there was no new arrivals. We fount a shower room down by the sea which we planned to use to get showered and dressed ready to go home in but when we got in there it was dirty and no hot water at all!!! So we had to travel home without able to even freshen up before hand.
The hotel advertises different restaurants, bars, a launderettes to use, this is false. The other bars were all shut, the restaurants were just empty rooms, and the launderettes is non existent, we put our dirty clothes into the bag for them to take every day and they did not, and when we asked they just said no.
We as a family feel like this hotel is defiantly not a 4 star, more like a 2 star. They should not advertise these facilities if they can not cater for them, we feel a bit ripped off and wish we had booked elsewhere. Whether its coming to the end of the season or not they shouldn't be shutting things down and not restocking on items because they will be closing in 4 weeks time. The hotel is very self centered and cares more about the cost of things then they do their customers which is appalling. Some of the staff we fount to be very lazy, they just was sitting around on their phones, and when we would ask for something it would be a straight no.
Unfortunately the whole holiday was a bit of a shambles, but we made our own fun and memories, but we will defiantly not be returning.
