"I loved it from the time I seen the place til the time I left."

9.0

The place was fantastic and the lad behind reception was great to chat with and share his knowledge on the place. I would come bak again

I was really looking forward to a bath as I don’t have one at home but we had no warm water for our whole stay. We did give it atleast half hour as it’s an old building but to no luck. Other than that everything was fantastic and I loved the tranquility.

"Don't stay, mold and mildew."

1.0

The guy working there was very kind

The place was rundown, and everything everywhere smelled of mold and mildew, things weren't that well made up, and so we didn't even end up sleeping there because we so disgusted by the place.

"Educational"

8.0

Dominic, who greeted us at the reception, was exceedingly kind and helpful in making us feel welcome. He happily showed us around the impressive building and shared its rich history with us. We enjoyed a tranquil stroll through the meticulously maintained gardens before retiring to the Lincoln Bedroom, formerly known as the bridal suite. It was charming and offered a lovely view of the obelisk on the hill.

While the building was undergoing renovations, remodelling, and a change of ownership, we understand there were no dining or bar services available during our stay. The only inconveniences we experienced were the lack of hot water and the absence of a hairdryer or ironing facilities.

"Dire and unsafe"

1.0

Building facade is nice

The hotel is not safe for use. There was no hot water or heating in the rooms - portable heaters were provided. The toilet was filthy and there were flies in the room. Electrical appliance PAT testing was 4 years out of date. Extremely unhappy with the hotel - have contacted booking.com.for a refund without a response yet.
