It is in a green area near the main road. The design of the room is very nice.

Very small rooms, basic breakfast.

"Horrible place to stay. Very bad location, careless staffs and extremely expensive."

1.0

The very few they had

The place is quiet and kinda beautiful. But the location is not the best, nor are their prices. Here are some issues I had with them: 1) Laundry is too expensive. In most places in Ecuador, laundry service is around $1.50/kg of cloths. But they would charge independently. I know many people can afford this, but compared to domestic prices, it is too expensive. 2) Dinner is also too expensive: $25.00 per person. I have been in hotels wayyy better and prices are never so high for such quantity and quality of food. 3) They would charge an extra fee for paying with credit cards. (Many hotels won’t do so) 4) The staffs are always reluctant to help. For 3 days in a row, I asked them to light the heater (chimney type of heater). They would always say “in 20 minutes”. They would not come until we ask again. In one day, I felt it too cold to go out and ask again. Guess what happened: they never came to fire the chimney. 5) The location is not the best. There might seem to be a lot of restaurants around, but none are open. And they don’t serve lunch. So, I have to travel very far to have lunch.

"Beautiful setting, but disappointed in the room and meal"

6.0

Beautiful hacienda in a wonderful setting; mountains all around, horses and cows grazing nearby.

Rooms were basic, wood burning stove and small heater kept the room warm, but the bathroom was cold. Dinner was disappointing. We were charged $25 for a vegetarian meal (we are not vegetarian). First course was a soup which was fine; next course was just risotto, and a tiny piece of chocolate cake completed the meal. Breakfast was simple and adequate. However, it was served in a room with no heating and no fire lit in the fireplace.
