Inn at the Shore

We loved our stay. Comfy rooms and being at the end of the walkway gave us plenty of quiet and yet it was an easy walk to downtown. Super place to stay.

Great location just off of the beach, room and service were great as well!

Property is definitely older. We got the room with the partial view and you can definitely see the ocean, however you are also right on the street. Because the room doesn’t have air conditioning, it gets very warm and you have to leave the sliding glass door open, so we were woken up by the garbage truck, car alarms going off, etc. The bathroom smelled like mildew BAD when running the shower, but there wasn’t any visible. Room was clean overall. It is super close to the beach but not walking distance to Main Street or any of the other shops, so beware.

Very clean and attractively decorated room with comfortable beds, new linens, good water pressure, and an in-room Keurig… right on the Promenade and at a price not much above a discount chain motel on the highway. So happy we found this place!

The hotel is older and run down, which I can live with. It was loud also, with older equipment and just noisy with families. My oceanview was a view of the parking lot. I was willing to overlook all this. After a lovely long day of hiking and site seeing, I was in my jammies ready for bed. At 10pm the old bathtub started overflowing with smelly water. Then at 11:30pm it started gushing even more with dark smelly water and debris and was filling up really fast and I felt like it was soon to overflow. I no longer felt safe to stay in this room. I called the local emergency line they provided for the hotel to try and get another room but they didn't have anything available, and instead planned on sending someone over to "fix it," at near midnight. NOPE. The drain wasn't draining, so this was clearly a major plumbing issue. The gal who called me back asked if I tried the plunger. So I drove the 3 hours home at midnight and got home at 3am and never ended up sleeping in this dirty room. I called the next morning because I still haven't received a call from the manager. The manager called back and was super defensive and accusatory with no intention of refunding my money. NOPE. Because this was handled so poorly, this was hands down the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Unfortunate things happen that are out of our control. But how poorly the manager handled this was shocking!

The staff has always been accommodating and is one of the things that keep us coming back. Not the fanciest of places but very quiet, quaint ,clean and love, love, love the location.

Overall, the property was excellent, right on a beach. However, we stay on the second floor and we were next-door to guest with children who were up and jumping around until midnight and 7 AM this morning. Quiet hour is from 10 to 9 AM.

It was a pleasant stay. The hotel room was very clean and spacious. The only complaint i have is that the pillows were very uncomfortable.
