The staff were amazing, helpful and accommodating with a last minute alteration to my reservation Jade changed our room after I had requested one with a bath Everyone in the hotel and the surrounding town were so nice and friendly which made our stay even more fun

Nothing, we were pre warned our room was above the bar and was going to be loud, wasn't unbearable

This was the second time we have stayed at the Nithsdale Hotel and it did not disappoint. The rooms are clean, airy and comfortable. The staff are exceptional. We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing as was the service. The team of staff we encountered at breakfast and dinner service were so welcoming and friendly as well as being thoroughly professional. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel and the next time we visit Sanquhar we will definitely be staying at the Nithsdale.

Breakfast was ok but probably not worth the level of extra fee

Bed was narrow and bathroom cramped. Had to bend head during shower. Had to make extra requests for shower gel etc Evening meal was quite basic. Overall the hotel wasn't bad but I'd only stop there again if desperate
