Room very good Breakfast was good but expensive

Restaurant could only offer room service friday night

This hotel was a disappointment at every turn. We were there for a large family event with people travelling from all over the world and so excited to be there. Firstly, the staff were incredibly rude, disrespectful and unhelpful; some examples… they watched as family members with children struggled with bags, prams and kids, outright saying ‘no’ to a request for some help carrying something up the stairs. They overcharged me for breakfasts we didn’t have, and my brother for a cot he didn’t need; the staff responded argumentatively and eventually very aggressively in front of the children. The event itself - limited option at the bar and the buffet at the event was terrible, little to no option, cold, probably microwaved (I wish I’d taken photos as proof of all of this now). Our room was average at best and cost a lot of money, a big stain on the curtain (why not wash or replace). When we left we had misplaced a few items at the party and were basically told no/ ‘not my problem’! I asked her to check… no again! The list goes on but not wasting another moment of thought on this place… just know you couldn’t pay me to stay here again!

The room was big, clean and modern. Comfortable bed. Staff at Reception were friendly and helpful.

We couldn't eat in the restaurant due to a function so we ordered Room service. The fish and chips were awful! But the House burger and veggie burgers were good. Great chips and slaw!

Breakfast was not the best quality, would rather pay more for better ingredients.

Lovely grounds, very comfortable beds, free parking. Great value.

Location a bit out of the way. Postcode location directed us to a nearby travelers camp. Otherwise great
