Breakfast was excellent hot & plenty of it. Also had a very nice evening meal. Room was very clean & tidy and a good size.

Large room and bathroom with a bath. Good parking facilities and goid location.

We were told our room was in the annex and given a brief description of it's location. None of the external buildings are actually named the annex and we wandered around looking for it with our large suitcase, until eventually finding our building tucked behind some shrubs! The pillows were extremely thin and cheap although that was remedied the next day after I acquired 4 extra pillows from reception. The room was a bit shappy, the bathroom door had clearly been damaged, by what appeared to be a punch or similar and very poorly repaired. The room was reasonably clean but still had lots of dust on the skirting boards and on the coffee table legs. I'm sure there was more, but that is what I noticed without conducting a forensic examination. The tv was too small for the room and inappropriately positioned to enable comfortable viewing whilst in bed. We had breakfast in one of the suites and whilst the breakfast was good, it was spoilt by the room having no form of heating and therefore it was very cold. I didn't feel as though the staff were warm and welcoming, they very rarely smiled and it felt that when they spoke to us they were only paying lip service and weren't genuinely interested in what we had to say, they all seemed very young and inexperienced. The whole feel of the place is a little tired and run down with no soul, it's as though it's on it's last throw of the dice. The patio area has been left unattended, weeds are appearing and paint is peeling. I'm sorry to have left such a negative review but I think the current owner needs to have a good luck at his business because in my opinion it isn't going to survive in the current climate.

The room was amazing. We loved the walk in shower and the large bed was very comfotable. Breakfast was also first class with full English and a delightful continental selection.
