Ayara Kamala Resort & Spa

We enjoyed our stay at Ayara Kamala Resort & Spa overall. The room itself was absolutely stunning, big, and the honeymoon setup i requested was beautifully arranged. It was clear that effort had been put into making the occasion special. The breakfast was exceptional, easily a 10/10. I wouldn’t change a single thing. Having breakfast tables by the pool overlooking the sea makes the entire experience feel very special, and the coffee was surprisingly excellent, which is something many hotels don’t get right. The shuttle service to Kamala Beach was also very professional and consistently on time, which made getting around easy. The property also has a private beach, which is a nice feature. Staff was always extremely polite and accommodating.

The gym is quite small and has limited equipment, so guests expecting a full fitness facility might find it a bit underwhelming. Swimming at their private beach [small] can be a bit difficult because the shoreline has many medium-to-large rocks. You can still swim if you’re comfortable navigating them, but it may not be ideal for everyone. Access also involves quite a lot of stairs down and back up, so it may be challenging for elderly guests or anyone with mobility limitations. We had dinner once at the hotel restaurant, and unfortunately the experience was somewhat disorganized. There appeared to be only one very young staff member handling everything as taking orders, serving food, and processing payments. He had to run downstairs to collect dishes and was clearly overwhelmed, although he remained polite and did his best throughout the evening. The issue wasn’t his attitude but rather a lack of staff support. Some tables were left unattended for long periods, and the service overall felt chaotic. A couple of dishes were also extremely spicy from the start, and some of the glassware could have been better cleaned and polished. For the dinner experience i would rate it around 5/10, though i want to stress that the waiter himself was doing his best under difficult circumstances for him. Overall, we still had a pleasant stay, mainly thanks to the beautiful room, the incredible breakfast, and the views. With slightly better pricing alignment and improved restaurant service, the experience could easily become outstanding.

Das Frühstück war der Hammer mit einer sehr grossen Auswahl wie man es oft nicht in Hotels hat. Der Shuttle Service zum Strand funktionierte bestens. Der Strand hatte uns sehr gut gefallen, da er sehr sauber war und auch der Liegeservice war perfekt.

Der Abendservice war ein wenig langsam und ein wenig unerfahren beim Bedienen, dafür war das Essen erstklassig gewesen.

We had a wonderful experience at Ayara Kamala Resort and Spa! It was a beautiful location with amazing views! Our room was huge and very clean! It really did feel like a lush paradise! We did have a little bit of a hike every time we walked up to our room, but if the staff saw us they offered us a ride up. They staff! From the front desk, drivers, house keeping and SPA, were AMAZING! We would love to visit again in the future!

For dinner services more attention

La vue depuis la chambre était magique avec la piscine infinie qui donne sur la mer. Le petit-déjeuner avec la possibilité de commander à la carte était un vrai plus. Le fait d'avoir des boissons dans le bar était top quand il faisait très chaud. Le personnel était très gentil et serviable.

Au petit-déjeuner les chauffe-plats étaient coupés ce qui peut causer un vrai problème au niveau des règles d'hygiène vu que les aliments sont soumis en permanence à des changements de température chaud/froid/chaud.... Il faudrait que les chauffe-plats restent allumés durant tout le petit déjeuner. Les transats ne sont pas confortables car il y a une barre métallique qui rentre dans le dos, cela pose problème et il faut ajouter une serviette pour éliminer cette barre qui est vraiment inconfortable. Les taxis en soirée ne sont pas toujours très nobreux pour rentrer à l'hôtel qui est un peu excentré

The public spaces were much too small, dinner service was woefully inadequate, all the chairs were stained and mouldy and the whole place wasn’t worthy of its high star rating, more like a three star.
