The Westender Inn

This is about the fifth time I've come back to The Westender and so I obviously like the place - however, it is getting even better - apparently it is now in the top 10 of Jamaican hotels and in my opinion this is deserved. The Westender is such a relaxing place to stay - the staff are friendly as ever, the food and bar is great (for a short stay like ours there is no real need to leave the place), and the rooms are perfect. I think the bathrooms have been upgraded. One piece of advice - go for the Ocean View rooms - not only does this mean you can view the ocean (obviously!), but you can also hear it - waking up in the morning to the sound of the breaking waves is special. A special mention should be made for the grounds - these are so well maintained. One thing that first time visitors should be aware of is that the hotel is a little out of the center of Negril - in my view this is a bonus, and not a problem as shuttle buses run into the center

This is the perfect getaway for someone looking to disconnect from the world. It is out of the hustle and bustle of the city with limited internet. They offer shuttle service so you can get around to the various attractions. The location is gorgeous and very relaxing.

The website pictures did not disappoint! It’s even better than the photos. The pools n the views are breathtaking. The sunset is beautiful n stunning, better than Rick’s café n less people do you can take in the whole view. The hospitality is very good. The rooms are clean, some have ac n some don’t. Our room had WiFi issues. So had to go outside. It was supposed to be fixed. The restaurant Westie on premises is very good. See my sep review. You can see the dolphins visiting every day. We will definitely come back n stay here. There’s a shuttle to/ from the beach everyday. Love this place.

Been going to Negril Jamaica for 40 years. First time staying at Westender Inn. Owners Dan and Sue and staff were very accommodating. We loved our suite and all amenities. Super relaxing. Four pools to choose from and staff was very friendly and food was great. If looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation this is the place. Free shuttle to the 7 mile beach 3 times per day was an added bonus. Ian and Shelley from Ontario Canada.

The entire place is gorgeous and the staff are friendly and helpful. We felt very safe and cared for. We stayed in a Garden View room and while it was close to the entry gate, restaurant and swimming pool, it was quiet and serene. Our room was very clean and the bed was absolutely comfortable, but we didn't spend much time there! The saltwater pools were my favorite place to be when I wasn't reading my book in the shade. The grilled shrimp appetizer and Dirty Banana cocktail were my favorites from the bar. The sunsets were gorgeous. If you don't want the insularity of an all-inclusive chain hotel experience, the Westender Inn is the place you're looking for.

I spent 5 days at the Westender and loved it! Beautiful property, excellent views, each pool had its own unique charm, and the staff was lovely. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and I spent less than I would have for an all inclusive. There is a shuttle to 7 mile beach throughout the day and guests were very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

This is definitely the place to stay if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Negril. It’s a bit of drive from the centre but worth it. The views are heavenly and what you expect from a Jamaican vacation. The property itself is lovely and on the cliffs so no beach. There is a daily shuttle to a beach. The grounds are maintained daily and the staff are friendly. The rooms are clean and they have made good use of the space. The bed is very comfortable yes the A/C works well! The view from my garden cottage was out to the sea (not ocean please!!). Breakfast was nice with a variety of local and American food. I had a wonderful and peaceful stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking the same while in Negril.

Bonjour, quoi dire du Westender Inn? Beaucoup de belles surprises et quelques moins bonnes qui peuvent être rapidement réglées. Je commence par les moins bonnes, car malheureusement aucune bouteille d'eau n'est offerte dans les chambres durant le séjour. Je suis resté 11 jours et malheureusement chaque bouteille d'eau me coûtait 3$ US. Je comprends qu'on peut aller à l'épicerie, mais sa serais intéressant d'en avoir au moins 1 bouteille par jours par personnes. 2 choses il manque un peut de maintenance ce n'est pas a la hauteur de ce que le Westender inn pourrais être, ils a énormément de potentielle pour faire un incroyable upgrade . Maintenant le coter positif du Westender inn, le point le plus positive et bien sur le staff toujours heureux(e) a l'ecoute du client (Sabrina, and everybody at the bar was amazing I am sorry I can remember your name but the 3 girl and the boy was fabulous) also big shoot out too the shuttle driver both of them was amazing (thanks to have stop for my wife on her birthday for a cake:))... Food is amazing the jerk chicken plate and the chicken pasta was my favorite dish at the hotel so tasteful…. Also, at my big surprise we have a sister hotel that is with the Westender inn calls whistling bird this is the hotel where the shuttle brings you at the seven mile beach 3 times a day for free (on your time 8$ per person) you will be having a private place on the beach while they give floater paddle board beach chair etc. amazing view of the cliff and the ocean during sunset a must see at the hotel . Verdict will be a 9/10 but will consider going back next time I visit Negril Jamaica for sure, thanks to everyone at the hotel that help make are stay better.
