Victoria Crown Plaza Hotel

Overall experience was good, the downside was I went over a weekend without Internet on the room. At the end, the issue was fixed by Monday. Later I found out they installed new antennas in the floor, and might also changed the internet provider. At the end it will result very good for the hotel because internet before was not good. I'd also like to point out all the staff was very friendly.

The location is really good! Rooms are big, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was also excellent. Hotel is close to many city highlights and ATMs

Although the breakfast was really good and diverse, the restaurant didn’t have 70% of the menu outside of the breakfast time. WiFi is terrible. I traveled for work and this was a major issue during my stay. Some comments from male staff were sometimes not professional.

The place is old, run down and stinks. Had a bad experience. Will never stay here again.

Hotel staff are the real assets at this hotel, friendly approachable and very apologetic about the many faults at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast options varied and cooked well. Although you had to go to breakfast early to get hot food.... anytime after 10am and the food was lukewarm.

The wifi did not work when the tv was off.... the water frequently refused to heat up and I had to make do with cold showers. 1 towel was provided in the bathroom and no bath mat, increasing the risk of a slip and/or fall stepping out of the bath. The bathroom hadn't had a deep clean in years and there was ingrained dirt around the bath edges The plates and glasses in the restaurant were chipped with water marks, clearly old and in need of replacement. The hotel refused to accept the price quoted by booking.com insisting that it was "too low" and insisted on an extra £200+ or I would have to find alternative accommodation. I will be raising a separate complaint about this.

The location was very nice and the lady in the restaurant was lovely.

The hotel is not well maintained and things are broken or chipped, old looking and just not nice for the price you are paying for this hotel. The reception staffs are not very helpful and management has changed from when I first booked the hotel back in 2019 for the worse. I would only recommend this hotel for the location.
