TOP HOTEL ODELYA Basel

Great hotel, it is currently undergoing renovations but it had no impact on the quality of my stay. I am certainly looking to visit again later in the year.

The hotel is situated in part of Mission 21's building (a charity). So there's also other stuff going off there during the day which has nothing to do with the hotel. (But note this doesn't detract from one's stay). It actually makes it more interesting and it seems to have a special atmosphere with a lot of positive people milling about. The rooms are very modern and well equipped. The staff are great and the breakfasts very good.

Finding a hotel during ArtBasel isn't easy. We knew nothing about this hotel and were totally taken in by the beautiful and peaceful surroundings, of this hotel that is part of missionary complex belonging to one of Basel's churches. It is five minutes walk from the Old town of Base. The staff is very helpful , the breakfast is delicious and varied and lawn chairs in the garden lovely to relax in!

Hotel is nice, staff very friendly. Rooms clean, but slightly too small. Breakfast is acceptable, but borring. Located close to university and not far from the old town center, it is also easily accessable by the public transport. I would suggest it for short business visits.

Impressive building in quiet location very near the University. That said, the rooms are quite basic - a bit like good student accomodation. Little touches are missing like bathroom toiletries and a decent pillow but it's clean and friendly.

I recently stayed here for a business trip; great hotel but only had one pillow...no extra ones in the wardrobe either. I'm sure I would have received an extra one if I asked but it was late and I was just getting into bed when I noticed. Staff extremely friendly & helpful. Beautiful building.

Walking distance to the centre, with tram stop nearby. Rooms were hot without air conditioning, but otherwise clean and modern.

A very nicely remodeled hotel with room that was bright and spacious for my husband and I.

This hotel is not in the center of things -- it is a bit out of the way -- but with the transit passes which visitors receive free of charge, you can take a tram anywhere you desire to go. If you are doing something at the University, this is a good location. The rooms are a good size but extremely spartan. The pillows are the most skimpy i have ever experienced. They have an excellent breakfast which is usually part of the room charge. They also have a few pieces of equipment for working out.

You get decent value at this modest hotel: the breakfast is good, and you get a day pass on all the public transportation when you check in. That being said, the rooms are modest, there was a small pillow on the bed, few amenities, but you do get a bottle of water! All in all not a bad place to stay for the price. Friendly helpful staff.
