Van der Valk Hotel Breukelen

Großartig war die Zimmergröße und die Sauberkeit und PHANTASTISCH das Frühstück und die netten Mitarbeiter im Hotel.

Nicht zur Entspannung bei trug eine Familie aus Breukelen, die lautstark die kleine Sauna jeden Donnerstag als Treffpunkt nutzt, alle Liegen besetzt (es gibt nur 8 Liegen in der Sauna) und jede Entspannung durch Lautstärke verhindert. Die Lage ist gut zur Anreise, aber der ständige Blick auf die Autobahn, deren verkehr auch in den Feiertagen nie nachlässt ist schade.

Absolutely amazing breakfast buffet, definitely one of the highlights of the stay. Room was nice a spacious. Getting there by car was easy and the train station is really just around the corner. You can get to Amsterdam in 15-20 minutes. We attended a concert in the Stadium and it was super convenient. We will definitely come back when we are attending events in the area or visiting family.

These modern hotels are really struggling to build functional bathrooms I find :D You cannot go to the toilet without waking your partner in the night and while the shower set up is not the worst I've seen, it still spills a lot of water to the other parts of the room. The wellness area was nice while it is a bit inconvenient that the pool is completely separate from the sauna/hammam area in a different floor. The pool area was also quite small, it will be interesting to see how the ongoing renovations will turn out.

Makkelijk bereikbaar met het OV, maar ook als je met de auto bent. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en ruime, schone kamers!

De airconditioning kon niet lager worden ingesteld dan 19°C. Omdat het tijdens ons verblijf buiten rond de 30°C was, hadden wij de kamer graag iets koeler gehad om comfortabeler te kunnen slapen. Dit is uiteraard een persoonlijke voorkeur.

we liked the quality of the hotel, including the decoration, room size, and amenities both in the room as well as in the lobby.

The daily metro ticket (10€ per day) in Amsterdam doesn't reach Breukelen. If you are planning to go to Amsterdam every day, you will save some money (15€ per person per day) by picking a hotel closer to Amsterdam. These savings in public transport might justify picking a much more central hotel...
