Fletcher Hotel Restaurant Veldenbos

Leuk verblijf, super vriendelijk personeel, propere kamer, lekker ontbijt, afgesloten ruimte voor e-bike.. het slaapgedeelte van het hotel is best verouderd, oneffen vloeren in de gang, vasttapijt... maar rest was wel ok

Its a very old hotel and he missed the basis conditions. The room was not cleaned, the white whole was not white anymore, the toilet took more than 10 minutes to refuels and also the shower was not a good water pressure. From the room we could hear everything in the room next to us. Was a really disappoint for a Fletchers hotel.

Eten was qua hoeveelheid ver onder de maat.....beetje vreemde kelner ook. Personeel vriendeljk.

The single rooms were really small, they were so hot and the hotel had no fans. Breakfast was great and on the whole the staff were helpful....at times difficult to find one.

Eerste indruk was goed, snel geholpen met inchecken. :) er is een verdieping zonder lift, kamers zijn ruim en net evenals de douche ruim genoeg. Het hotel is ietsje verouderd, zou mooi zijn als ze achter de mooie gevel een nieuwbouw creëren. ;) Ontbijt en service is prima, vriendelijk personeel. ( 1x bijna 15min. gewacht voor ze ons opmerkten??) Menukaart gelukkig niet groot en de maaltijd was heerlijk. De omgeving is mooi en centraal gelegen, dit was de reden voor ons om hier te verblijven, uitstapje naar Giethoorn en Enkhuizen en ook Schiphol goed te bereiken.

Mooi locatie Hotel , personeel vriendelijk , behulpzaam , kamers schoon ,Bedden ,goed . -puntjes stopcontakt nachtkastjes(tijd+telefoon). Lift : zou kunnen aan buitenzijde Hotel , bij brandtrap , een kooiladder als vluchtweg . De lift zou een waardestijging zijn voor het Hotel . Zou zo weer heengaan als ik beter ter been was, heb ook verschrikkelijk genoten van de maaltijden, was perfect.

Had to stay here to visit relatives, if I had known there were other places to stay on the other side of the rail line (classed as another suburb) we would have tried there. Upon arrival we were told there was only one room (instead of the two rooms booked months prior, and confirmed!) A bit of messing around and we finally had our requested - beside each other, 2 x single bedrooms. "Can we have some help with our bags?" The poor female receptionist had to take all four cases up stairs (extremely narrow treads) to a shut door that needed to be opened (no room!) before she could put each bag down! "Isn't there anyone who can help you?" we asked... "No" was the response from the poor girl. The carpet in the foyer was like some old worn picnic rug (Stunk too!) As for the carpet upstairs - beggars belief!! Stained (especially against the skirting boards either side), worn almost bare (though the centre of the hallways), lumpy (Trip hazard) and a very strong pet wee smell. The first room - door handle nearly came off in my hand, we screwed it back on! The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. The power point was up so high we had to stack pillows on top of chairs so we could recharge our phones/cameras. The power point in the bathroom was up against the ceiling - impossible to use at all! The toilet was so old there was a pull up function to flush (full flush only, obviously as it was so old). The shower base and the grout all the way up to the shower head was encased in black mould. And the floors (and threadbare carpet) were dirty too. The sliding door to the outside 'deck' did not lock properly unless you leaned your whole body weight into it to push it shut. The deck had no guard rails either-just fall down onto the ground one storey below! The other room we had was no better, the heater in that bathroom had the connection through a broken tile that was dangerous! The connection was covered in mould too! The exterior was being painted at the time, should have bulldozed it instead (although the restaurant and bar area was extremely pretty and should be kept, but the actual accommodation area is atrocious!) The area is pretty and quiet though. One time there was the three of us girls chatting in one of the rooms with the thin curtains closed (see through) and I felt like someone was watching us, sure enough one of the painters working on the exterior was leering at us through the window...creep! So I shut the heavier curtain in his face! When we asked for help, at reception, with tickets for the train to get back to Amsterdam, the staff had no idea what we could do! The breakfast was fine, very good in fact, except for the espresso coffee kept in thermoses....surely you could outlay for an automatic machine. We had dinner the first night in the restaurant, needless to say... we never ate there for dinner again! We will not ever recommend nor stay at this place again...For a large hotel chain this is a very poor reflection on your company!

Prima gegeten, leuk personeel. Hotel is toe aan een opknapbeurt.
