Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka'an - Adults Only - All Inclusive

1. Room junior suite - it was on ground floor facing the woods. Humid despite AC. Clean but clearly worn down. Basic amenities. Mini bar ok. 2. Food, buffet neither of a family of four 70, 68, 43 and 45 years liked it. Breakfast was the best out of the three daily meals. We all went to sister hotel Akumal for all buffet meals, huge difference was well worth the hazzle with cart transportation. Visited only one a la carte, Alux. It was good. We also found the snack bar at Sian Ka’an acceptable. 3. Pools, well as we always went to Akumal we also used their pools. Great experience. 4. Service good with one recurring flaw. The rooms were not made up before 3/4 o’clock in the afternoon despite leaving the clean sign around 8 in the morning. Not ok 5. Very confusing regarding events/shows some were free others were charged separately. Confusing as it it is an all-inclusive resort. 6. Conclusion: The Bahia Principe Sian Ka’an did not live up to our expectations but the stay was saved by the possibility using the sister hotel(s) facilities. We will be hesitant returning.

I want to point out one of the staff members Camila she was amazing, she took the time to set up everything for Me and my wife and we had brought family with us this time and she made it so special and Camila was there no matter what we asked for. She met all our needs and took it to the next level it wasn’t five stars it was six stars … and we will be back again for the 10th time and I know my family will be returning and bringing there family as well.. I just want to say a big thank you to Camila for making our dreams come true Truly a vacation Escape…

This is the 3rd time at sian Ka,an but the last time, since it has changed from luxury to the escape which is was never luxury, very run down, out of peak season not all the resurantants are open and some are closed on random days so booking in resurantants is very difficult, The buffet is okay but limited and not the nicest of dinning experiences, there a security cameras everywhere around the beach, pools, I was at one pool where there was nobody at the time so i briefly changed and was naked, but security came and told me I carnt be naked but women can be topless, who's watching who ? Lifeguards disappear or are constantly on the phones like the rest of the staff. We had an outdoor hottub which was run down but great for sex in surprised security wasn't watching, There was a lot of renovations being carried out around the other resorts like Acamel and Jack hammer going all day.

What a wonderful vacation! The staff is second to none. Alina, Randi, and Jhovanny were amazing. All the bars made the drinks as strong as you wanted them to be. The buffet was perfect. Different foods daily. They had stuffed lobster one evening, and an Italian night another. We could only book one of the dinners 10 day before we arrived on the app. I will say, that needs to be corrected. It is a common complaint on all the reviews. However, it didn't change our vacation. We made the best out of everything offered. The evening entertainment was great. They had something every night. The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, and the A/C worked great in our room. The carts didn't take long to transport you wherever you wanted. We were very pleased with the entire resort! Thank you Bahia Principe Escape!

What a lovely place. I stayed at another Bahia Principe in Dominican Republic. I am pleased with this brand of hotel. Very relaxed, helpful and friendly staff. The food was fantastic. I loved snack bar as well. I found everything flavorful. I was also surprised we had access to other hotels which was a real treat. The trolley's take you to other resorts which is brilliant. Wait times are 15-20 min. No complaints here.

Second visit to this place and the staff are still amazing. I can honestly say that every member of staff i have had contact with is friendly helpful and nothingbis too mich bother. The resort is clean and tidy, the pools are immculate and the food good. Thankyou

When you stay here at Bahia Principe, you will here "When we stayed here last time..." which can be proof of a great time, whilst also carrying the burden and weight of expectations. So how does the place mange both? More Things Change So there has been a number of what I feel are cosmetic changes to the running of the place. The Cenote Snack bar is no longer 24-7 and in fact is open 10am-1am. To make up for the shortfall, the main buffet is now open from 7am. Other changes include a lack of room service late at night and a perception of fewer trolleys (the main transport method between the various hotels on the larger site). One of the benefits of booking Sian Ka'an ahead of some of other hotels here, is the "access to all restaurants"; though in reality, you do not get access to all of them; we were unable to book a few, even when using the 10 day in advance app! This was a huge disappoint, effectively allowing us to book only the restaurants that were selected "by the powers that be" More Things Stay the Same The service in the restaurants is, pretty much good throughout, though of course there will was a couple of "really?" moments. That said, Jorge the "quiet pool" waiter is excellent! Great fun, chatty and remembers everyone's drinks regardless of the number of alternatives you will try. Additionally, Miriam in the main buffet (breakfast and lunch) also delivers a great service, nothing is too much trouble for her. The entertainment is good fun with a lot of energy applied. The Fiesta Mexicana is good fun and well worth the money. The different hotels have different vibes, to suit a lot of different holiday requirements! The Infinity Pool is great (though there is ongoing work, which could be a distraction). Therefore it is easy to see that Sian Ka'an would probably benefit from a little bit of a "face-lift" to maintain that luxury element. With all that said, why did I give 5 stars? Would I have liked to try some of the other restaurants, yes! Does the place need a face-lift, again yes! But we had a great time, meeting friends, making new ones and overall enjoying the high level of service that those that care (Jorge, Miriam, the Cenote Bar waiter staff included) clearly put into their jobs! The rooms are kept clean and well stacked with fresh towel (if needed of course). Thanks Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an for more great memories.

We have been here many times. My opinion is that the change of ownership is going poorly. Restaurant service and food was good, if you can manage to get a reservation to begin with. Many restaurants are closed every other day, so not many choices. We were not able to change except for one night, the customer service person in the lobby was awful. Bar service was great, but the resort is cutting selection and on most nights they ran out of premium brands. There was always maintenance and cleaning going on, but the resort needs significant work, pools are missing tiles throughout. Room was clean, but we had to call multiple times to get service. Our hot tub was repaired but shouldn’t that be checked before putting guests in rooms? They are not connected to the golf course any longer, golf rates are very high now $250 day $150 after 2 pm The course was in great condition and empty.

This resort is great for a relaxing holiday the penthouse suite was very spacious, clean and bright. The shower room was a good size with a single basin and wc with a wall mounted hair dryer and large mirror. Travel to and from the sister hotels and beach could be improved as the waiting time and overcrowding can become tiresome and annoying especially in the evening. All the staff we interacted with were great and a special mention must go to Camila Hernandez's customer relations who went out of her way to make our holiday special also Ramon and Miriam in the buffet who offered a smile every morning. Some of the evening entertainment was great Los Divos and Jersey boys were our favourite and the magic show was outstanding. David, Abigail and Fabian were great with regard to the animation team keeping the party going all day. Check in and out were seamless and the reception staff very helpful. The beach area was a bit of a letdown owing to the amount of sea weed and construction vehicles trying to remove it. All in all we found the holiday good value and will definitely be returning next April 2027

This hotel could be so much better but it seems like the owners cost cutting measures are affecting quality. The grounds of the hotel and the other three you have access to are well kept and the staff are really friendly but the rooms are dated and some of the restaurants are well below the standard you would expect. It was difficult to book the restaurants of choice even though they were only half full at anyone time so this must be down to staff cuts. Some of the food portion sizes are also very small especially the Italian offerings. Another issue we experienced was the lack of transport from Sian Kaan to the other hotels especially during the period of an evening when people are heading off to dinner. The transport took to long to arrive and when it did not everyone could get on, again obviously due to cost cutting I would say take a look at alternative hotels in the area before choosing this
