Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka'an - Adults Only - All Inclusive

My wife and I have stayed at this resort 3 times and have just returned from a 3 week vacation. We always enjoy the pleasant surroundings and the amazing staff all of whom make our vacation very special. We would like to mention the hard working guest services team including Camela and Isobel who did a great job decorating our room for on our wedding anniversary and who made sure our stay was once again memorable. The buffet waiters and waitresses all contributed to making meal times friendly and happy. The restaurant's we frequented all offered excellent food and service. Okay so the downside to the resort is in our opinion in need of a better trolley service during the evening as it can take over 30 minutes to catch a trolley from one hotel to another from 21:00 onwards. The jacuzzi rooms need new tubs as they are all scratched and damaged and the metal supports for the pegodas are mainly rusty and old. The beach is unpleasant to swim in due to the rocky entrance and seaweed although there are always plenty of sunbeds and waiter service on the beach.

Hello, I am reading some reviews here and they make me sick Some people are never satisfied i think We have been at SK 6 times already and are going back in September for 18 nights Every time we have been here , everything was very good , food , drinks , transportation, beaches , and always the wonderfull staff , wherever you go you are greeted with a smile and everybody does whatever he can to please you.. One downside , we visited 6 times when it was Bahia Principe , not it is Hyatt and we loose our rewards as a returning client... But we are really looking forward to be at SK again, that is all i can say

Absolutely terrible food possibly the worst I have ever had This is supposed to be a 5* luxury hotel The only saving grace is some not all of the speciality restaurants These were only open every other night and always at around only 50% capacity it was virtually impossible to book any and the only reason they couldn’t take more bookings is because they don’t have the staff We did turn up without reservations at some of them and they managed to get us in otherwise we would have been hungry The drinks are so watered down they may as well have served water The staff are amazing every single one of them and they are extremely overworked all appear to be doing the work of 2 people The cut backs are so obvious but come on Bahía you can’t cut back on the food there isn’t anywhere else to go Unfortunately we would never come back everything is about how much money they can get out of you our first day after a long flight we dumped our cases and headed to the lobby for a drink I forgot to take some money with me so couldn’t tip the bar waitress and boy did I pay for it the next day It took them 45 minutes to come and ask if we wanted a drink so if you don’t tip you don’t get served and even going to the bar yourself is no better I am sure in its day it was good and maybe because there weren’t many there is the reason for the poor food I don’t know But I would never come back or recommend it to anyone

While we have travelled to several other vacation destinations, this was our first to Mexico and let me say we were delighted with our entire experience and, have already booked to return to Sian Ka’an in the fall. We booked our trip on the recommendation of family, and it did not disappoint! About The Resort: Sian Ka’an is a small resort (around 325 units) by comparison to the surrounding BP sister resorts. As a guest at Sian Ka’an, you have full access to the other sister resort facilities. Visitors to the sister resorts do not have visiting privileges to Sian Ka’an. We found our stay very relaxing quite likely to the demographic. I’d guess the average age was around 55+ so the atmosphere was pretty low key outside of the daily poolside activities at the “Activity” Pool. While we saw some reviews complaining it wasn’t a lively resort, the other sister BP resorts offer lots of venues for a more active evening. We surprised ourselves by participating in the foam party (which only lasted around a half-hour) and was a blast. (Insert Grandparents gone wild. LOL). The rooms were very clean and kept daily. Turndown service (available upon request) was a very nice touch. Room service was excellent, from delivering morning coffee to delivering meals, both were very quick (within 15 minutes) and was hot. While ice machines are not readily available ice was delivered within 5 mins. Food ranged from very good to excellent from our experience. Lots of fresh options for most tastes at the buffet as well as a variety of A’ La Cartes. We ate at the Maiko, Katok and the Brazilian restaurants. We look forward to trying some of the others when we return in the fall. Special Mentions: From the Bellhops through to meeting our concierge, our arrival and check-in was a breeze. The team at the check-in desk were outstanding in placing us in exactly what we were looking for in a room. Our Concierge (Isabel) was very welcoming and helpful in booking our A la Cartes and coordinating our reservations with our travel partners. She went above and above throughout our stay in assisting us in making sure our stay was a great experience. Our favorite A la Carte was the Steak House (Katok) was fantastic from receiving us with their specialty drink (Cowboy – very tasty) throughout the entire meal. Special mention to our waiter (Erik) (who was quite the Comedian) kept the meal from start to finish a pleasant experience. The food was top notch. Another special mention needs to go out to the entertainment team in particular Abigale and David (AKA “Snoop Perro”. They were both everywhere throughout the day into the latter evening. They both did an outstanding job engaging the visitors whether poolside or at the entertainment stage with friendly smiles and lots of laughs. All in all, we had an excellent vacation. We started talking about booking for the fall before we even left and a week later, we’re booked for end October. Only 177 days to go!!!!!!!

This is a beautiful resort. Fabulous food and wonderful staff. I travelled with a group of friends in April and we all booked the Coba Hotel. Upon arrival, were told we were being upgraded to the Sian Ka’an hotel. We would be able to use the facilities and eat at any of the other four hotels. We were shuttled to the Sian Ka’an and spent a great amount of time while the hotel staff located two rooms for us. I believe our original rooms had been given away as we arrived on a late night Air Transat flight. Unfortunately, our rooms did not seem to fit the luxuriousness of the resort. We had booked spacious looking rooms with kingsized beds. We both received townhouse type rooms with twin beds and my room was on the ground floor. I had some bugs there and stained blinds that didn’t meet but had a gap in the middle. Our two other friends flew in two days later and were told they had been upgraded also, to the Tequila Hotel. Unfortunately, they only had access with their bracelets to eat at two hotels, not ours, and it was difficult meeting up with them. They did end up with a beautiful room at the Tequila Hotel though. All in all it was a lovely trip. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and have amazing wildlife. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. In hindsight we probably should have asked for new rooms but after travelling the distance and waiting so long for the rooms we just wanted to relax.

I did a review last year after my trip to this resort. I just read a recent review giving the resort a very good rating and lovely comments about the staff. I was really glad to see that Jesus is still at the Cenote snack bar! From pictures posted, it also looks like they do the Friday Grill at the cenote. It was some of the best food I had there and the service in the Cenote was amazing! I'm coming back soon and looking forward to seeing familiar faces! I can't wait to get there and have a wonderful week!

We arrived after a 10 hour flight in premium which was ok, the seats were perfect but the FOOD was absolutely SHOCKING, seriously shocking, we was obviously first through passport control, and then nearly 1 hour for our cases, then customs opened everyone’s cases looking for vapes which was shocking, when we came out of the airport the tui Mexican rep said our bus had gone and we had to get a private taxi for £270, omg this was absolutely shocking, We arrived at the hotel for 14 days and upgraded from the coba to the adult only LUXURY Sian kaan, mainly due to the food, BUT THE FOOD IN THE SIAN KAAN WAS TWICE WORSE, absolutely proper shocking, BEWARE BEWARE OF THE FOOD, you just can’t eat it, and it looks horrible, we was also told the speciality restaurant are full but we managed to get a couple Of nights, but again totally shocking, and seriously it was shocking, this resort is a NO NO, please please check before you book and if you check after you book you must cancel and go elsewhere, BEWARE BEWARE, you have been warned, also which is kind of important when you come on holiday and the temperature is quite hot, you need cold drinks regularly, however there is no bar at any of the pools,

Staff is amazing! Love this place! The declining food quality is really starting to make me reconsider going back!

Beautiful resort with outstanding staff. The weather was amazing. Oscar, the director, leads an awesome team. Erandi was a great help, Eldrik at the front desk was wonderful, Jesus at the Cenote snack bar was fabulous, and Castor and Carmen Puc were always smiling! Would absolutely, positively recommend this resort for anyone looking to be pampered!!

The resort is clean. Room was clean but the bed hard. The buffet is not very good anymore, no fresh pasta at dinner time. À la cartes were hit or miss with quality. The activity pool is in desperate need of repair. The staff are all amazing
