Historic tourist court revived with modern amenities

Saltillo tile floors were bare and with the chill, could have used a rug or two.

We stayed here a few years ago and really enjoyed our stay. I remembered it as quaint, rustic and charming -- so when we were going to be in the area again -- I rebooked. This stay was somewhat disappointing from what I remembered. Our room was all it needed to be for our one night stay, but honestly could have been so much nicer if everything looked cared for and felt cleaner. When I stepped out of the car, it wasn't as I remembered...the outside looked neglected with overgrown brush, leaves piled and debris/trash. Inside furnishings were rustic and appropriately decorated but somewhat deteriorated with trim falling off and sink and shower appeared dirty because the tile, sink hardware and porcelain were very worn. When I pulled back the curtains the window sills and windows were dirty, but an even bigger issue for us was that there was a huge gap under the door allowing light and outside air into the room (the threshold and door sweep need to be replaced) making the room feel unsecure.

The check in was terrible, the room was okay. Pretty basic and average. Could definitely use more amenities. We didn’t enjoy having to deal with the sister property. Have staff at the location.

Everything was great. Especially the staff.

AC/ heat unit was very loud and couldn’t run it while we were sleeping.
