Beach Street Inn and Suites

This property is truly a gem! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The complimentary popcorn, hot chocolate, coffee, and snow cones throughout our stay were such a fun and thoughtful touch. The location was perfect, being within walking distance of everything made our trip so relaxing and peaceful. We can’t wait to come back!

There wasn’t anything I disliked about the property itself. The only issue we encountered was that after the sun went down, groups of local kids would come to the pool and take it over. We ended up leaving each evening because it no longer felt safe for our children. Aside from that, everything was wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beach Street Inn & Suites has a fantastic location and some wonderful staff, but our stay was overshadowed by repeated maintenance problems, noise issues, and most concerning of all, cleanliness concerns. We paid more than $2,600 for four nights and left feeling that the condition of the property did not match either the price point or the expectations created by the hotel's photos and reviews. For details, read the full review below: We recently stayed at Beach Street Inn & Suites for four nights and left with mixed feelings. The positives first: the location is fantastic, the room was spacious, and the complimentary snow cones and popcorn were a fun touch that our family enjoyed throughout the stay. I also want to recognize Nathan and Zazil at the front desk. Both were friendly, professional, and genuinely tried to help whenever issues arose. Nathan promptly came to our room on our first night to address several maintenance concerns and later waived our parking charges when some of the problems could not be resolved. After our stay, management also reviewed our concerns and provided additional compensation, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the property itself felt much more worn and dated than we expected based on the website, photos, reviews, and the premium price point. Upon arrival, our room had several maintenance issues, including a mini-fridge freezer so overrun with ice that the freezer door would not close, a room phone that did not work, and a bathroom exhaust fan that ran continuously and could not be turned off. Most concerning, the Murphy bed came crashing down unexpectedly when my 12-year-old daughter pulled it down. It was startling and felt like a potential safety issue. The bed was also noticeably tilted and uncomfortable to sleep on. Noise was another challenge. The walls appeared to be extremely thin. On our first night, motorcycles sounded as though they were passing directly through our room. My daughter actually asked whether the door was open because the noise was so loud. We were also awakened by large dumpster bins being moved late at night and more motorcycle noise early in the morning. The television screen-casting feature worked only intermittently, which was disappointing when we attempted to relax and watch movies in the evenings. The biggest concern, however, was cleanliness. During our stay, we discovered a blood-stained pillow. After reporting it and requesting fresh linens, housekeeping replaced them, but some of the replacement sheets also contained stains. As our stay continued, we found additional stains on other bedding as well, along with holes in some of the linens. At that point, it became difficult to feel confident in the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the room. Any one of these issues by itself would have been a minor inconvenience. Taken together, however, the repeated maintenance problems, noise issues, and cleanliness concerns significantly impacted our stay. For a stay costing more than $2,600 for four nights, we expected a much higher standard of quality, maintenance, and cleanliness. While we appreciate the efforts made by the front desk staff and management to address our concerns, the overall condition of the property did not match our expectations or the price we paid.
