Can't find a home better from my own home, check in was smooth and efficient, I felt like I didn't leave home, warm and minimalist decors, I stayed a the twin room where u can see sun setting, bed was comfortable! Highly recommended!

Unfortunately an overall disappointing experience. Mold and it's smells in bathrooms unvacumned flooring. Dirty slippers offered for patrons wear. Get a deep cleaning crew in and fix rotting counters and figure out why your fridge smells like rotten meat. Too bad, great locations and views. Other reviews show that these things have not been fixed over time

Blue house is good for searching northern lights, room are Clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast But need car rental

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Blue House. We had a comfortable room where we stayed for two nights. The kitchen has lots of dishes for you to use to cook meals - and the breakfast provided was lovely. It was fun getting to know the fellow travelers staying at Blue House with us. If I am in Reykjavik again, I will certainly be staying at Blue House!

Location on the edge of city in a quiet residential area was fantastic and the partial view of the sea was good. Although the photo of the room on the site may not match the room your given. The "blue" house is considerably better and more attractive than the "yellow" house which has a shared tiny kitchen/tiny shower and toilet. Also the walls are paper tin so depending on how loud the other guests are, you may be kept up late. Really liked the quirky and welcoming feel of the blue house, but what we actually got felt like a cheap overflow option. We received a letter from the owner with a key code which worked fine, but we never saw anyone from the hotel during our stay at all. Expected a higher quality of B&B for the price. Regretted not going to a city hotel as my wife was extremely irritated we had a shared bathroom (this was stated in the booking) and by the noise from other guests (which you can't blame the owner for).

This little B&B was great for a last minute find. It was odd that it was separated into multiple houses blocks from each other but the bed was very comfortable & the room was spacious. A DIY breakfast was provided & the staff was very fairly knowledgeable & welcoming. Overall, decent accommodations for the price.

I wouldn't stay here again. The staff while cheerful are not particularly helpful or motived and seemed more reactive than proactive. the Blue House seemed okay as accommodation but we were in the Yellow House which was a bit grotty and left lots to be desired.
