Hotel Genovese

Accessible to town. Enjoyed first impressions of Corsica from here.

The experience at Genovese was excellent and exactly what we expected it to be, good polite service and first class facilities.

Gorgeous hotel, gorgeous location! This is the loveliest hotel - in a prime spot up in the citadel overlooking the harbour & the ramparts & town buildings opposite. Wow! What a view! And what a fabulous place! Friendly helpful staff, gorgeous pool, super comfy beds, fluffy towels & bathrobes, tea/coffee making facilities, minibar, safe - everything you need. Our room had a separate sitting room & outdoor terrace overlooking the harbour. Wow! Gorgeous! I wanted to move in forever. It’s luxurious but laidback & friendly. There are even a couple of hotel cats wandering about. Nothing not to like!

Lovely hotel. Great location. Comfortable room. Only slight issue was with hotel parking lot. Extremely tight to turn in to or out of parking spots. €20 for full breakfast buffet. Couldn’t find any other place nearby for full breakfast.

We stayed there for one night and enjoyed it very much. Great location and setup. Did not try the restaurant but heard go things about it. Pool area is beautiful with great views of Bonifacio Port but the pool temperate is cooold! Great staff as well.

Note if booking that you get a room where you want, either by the quay side (away from pool / bar), or at the top of hill. Wasn't a problem for us but may be for some. Quayside apartment is spacious, with a great view of the harbour. Hotel in good central location.

Perfectly located hotel to explore Bonifacio castle, close to restaurants and places to see. Quiet, large rooms, very excellent reception staff who go out of their way to help. Don't miss the short trip to Porto Vecchio

Best location in the middle of the old town, overlooking the harbour; very nice and helpful staff; beautiful room (we had a deluxe double), which I considered above standard, nice bathroom with good amenities; Only negative points, but unfortunately quite important for a good stay in summer season: the Aircon is basically blowing cold air behind the curtain, away from the room, which doesn't get cool at all; we had to sleep on the floor one night (quite pricey for sleeping on the floor...) Next to the Aircon one night, as the night before we couldn't sleep as it was so smeltering hot inside the room. The other downside was the bad, useless WiFi that didn't really work most of the time, and if, very slow; if you need to work, this would be very bad. Unfortunately that made an otherwise great hotel with great staff a bit uncomfortable, but it's definitely a great hotel.

It´s not cheap but if you want the best view and the chillest atmosphere in Bonifacio downtown and/or old city, Genovese is the place to be. We spent ours at the poolside area, either lying in sunbeds reading books or standing along the old fortress walls watching boats enter and leaving the marina 150m below us.

Great hotel,super staff, very useful to have free parking, we did not eat in the hotel as there were too many choices in town. We thought the drinks were a little expensive compared with what is available elsewhere, overall we enjoyed our stay,
