Dar Echchaouen

Maison d'hôtes magnifique et agencée avec beaucoup de goût. Cadre bucolique et situation idéale hors de la très (trop?) touristique Chefchaouen. Suite spacieuse et très confortable. Merci à Abdul pour son accueil. Petit bémol - accueil de certains membres du personnel pas toujours à la hauteur - petit déjeûner à améliorer, mais dans l'ensemble Maison d^hôtes à recommander chaleureusement.

Location is around 10 to 15 mins walk to town center. Inside room and hotel area is very dark. But the garden/swimming pool/outdoor area is good.

The Hotel looks good but has no wifi in the rooms. We informed about the wifi but they took no actions. We also saw others complaining about wifi. The staff wasn't really helpful especially the lady who works in the morning. She was not even ready to book a taxi to the bus station. There are lot of steps to carry your luggage to or from the hotel to the main entrance and the staff never offered help. The staff working in the night were more helpful than the lady in charge. The swimming pool was drained out. The only nice part of the hotel is the breakfast and the views. We had the best breakfast in our entire trip here.

따뜻하고 편안한 숙소였어요. 조식도 맛있었고, 특히 염소치즈는 최고였습니다. 무엇보다 고마운 건, 호텔 직원 중 Mamuni라는 소년 덕분에 원래 이동하려고 했던 경로보다 더 나은 경로를 찾을 수 있었던 거예요. 다시 한번 고맙다고 이야기하고 싶네요. Thanks, Mamuni!

An excellent choice for those who privilege romance, adventure, and history over the convenience of new appliances and contemporary furnishings. Located inside the medina, this beautiful dar affords an opportunity to experience Fes as traveler might a century ago -- albeit with air conditioning and electrical lighting. The architecture is stunning, and the staff friendly and accommodating. Some of the antique furnishings are worn, but that is part of the charm. The plumbing could use updating, but this was more than offset by the spacious room and overall ambience. The staff prepared a lunch for us one day that was as good as any meal I had during my week in Morocco.

My trip was planned only a day or so before I arrived and I did little research before hand so I did not set high expectations. If I had I would not have been disappointed. This is a beautiful hotel in an outstanding setting. The room was as good as any 5 star room I have stayed in anywhere. Spacious bedroom, clean and fresh toilet and shower room and a beautiful cool and traditionally furnished lounge. This hotel could do well just for being where it is and being of a high specification throughout but it doesn't stop there. The staff are really lovely and helpful making me feel really welcome despite my late arrival and only staying one night. Even though checkout was at mid day I was allied to use their pool and outdoor lounge until my bus came later in the afternoon. Dar echchaouen made my short visit to Chefchaouen unforgettable. A real gem of a place.

It's a very nice place but the staff is not really professional and expert. The lobby and restaurant are not so large and there is not enough place for all guests! Breakfast is not bad,but only one person served it for more than 30-40 guests!!!!
