Comfortable bed, nice room. Cooked breakfast excellent. Good beer.

Very Noisy until bar emptied . Shower flow not great.

Breakfast:- very good -as expected. Room:- difficulty drawing the curtains over the patio door, essential at this time of the year Dinner Good, enjoyable but not exceptional. I had the whitebait and the cod I had a similar main course earlier in the week and the presentation and flavour was a little more sophisticated.

Loved our stop over, staff, facilities and food was great. We'll definitely be back x

We couldn't stay longer

Very friendly staff, lovely food with good options and presentation. I'm gf and there was plenty choice. Room was fabulous with newly refurbished shower room, lots of space and a comfy bed

The hotel sits next to the road. There is an area with picnic benches/tables to sit at outside at the front of the premises but it's right next to a busy road and it's where the smokers and dogs go. This area is in need of some TLC to give the place more kerb appeal. Access to the back garden is only for guests who have booked a 'garden room". Hotel location is on the outskirts of Appleby so a bit of a walk to the town centre. No private car park. Parking is on the road tho we found a space no problem.

This is the third time we stay here. We have two dogs and they are very welcome at the hotel.

The room was ideal, we had our own access to the back grassed area which was great for our dog. The hotel supplied a Doggie Treat bag. And our Scottie soon had her nose deep inside. Dogs were allowed in the bar area so we never felt shut away with her like some hotels.

Very welcoming staff. Lovely old building and interior. Great location. All in all a lovely stay! Also breakfast was delish

Apart from my partner hitting his head off the beam in our room (which btw was his fault as they have signs literally saying watch your head) but this is expected as it’s an old building and it really added character to the building
