The fact that I booked a room to be told when I got there that, that room wasn't't dog friendly so we had to move rooms I explained to the lady that we booked it on booking.com and it had said dog friendly and she said booking.com do it all the time. We asked to reserve a table for breakfast We were told you don't reserve breakfast tables and when we came down for breakfast and sat at the table we wanted to be told we couldn't sit there as it was reserved. I complained and said we wanted to leave as we didn't get the room we booked. Then I explained the breakfast situation and I wanted a refund as we were leaving early and didn't want to stay another night. I only wanted the refund for the night we weren't staying. The girl.got.yhe manager on the phone which was the lady who changed our room the day before. Who then decided to say that you can't book the room on booking.com if you say you have a dog and good luck getting InTouch with booking.com but she wasn't issuing the refund.I spoke to booking.com who contacted the manager and low and behold the lady was now telling them that dogs were only allowed on request. Booking.com.asked.me for screen shots for proof so I went on and screen recorded as if I was booking a other night to prove that it said pets were allowed in that room and it said nothing about them only on request. Also the back garden is an absolute safety hazard the gate is off its hinges the dog waste bin was overflowing and when going down the stairs in the garden the handrail was hanging off the wall and the stairs way was full of ladders and junk you had to climb over to get out. I think this place needs a health and safety visit.

Nice spacious clean room with a good shower room and a comfortable king sized bed. The food both at dinner and breakfast were good with plenty of choice.

Wonderful staff and very good food and dog friendly.

Very low ceilings up the stairs, difficult for my tall husband. Carpets could do with a clean!

Lovely old Inn with a nice room and friendly staff. The breakfast was lovely.

Really uncomfortable small beds Stairs to top floor rooms really not manageable for some people lack of hand rails and head height a problem
