Breakfast was outstanding! Waiter was polite and very helpful by setting up a table in the bar area as we had the dog with us. Chef was also amazing, told me were to get the amazing black pudding! House was well equipped, spacious and comfortable.

Lots of dust and hair around the floor in bathroom, dark stain on the duvet which showed through the cover.

"Not geared up for Tall Pennine Way walkers"

Dinner was good.

The room was under the eaves of the pub. headroom was extremely limited. Given that we are both over 6 feet, it was not comfortable. We were walking the Pennine Way and needed to leave early. Breakfast was only available from 08h30. The manager made no effort to offer alternatives, e.g continental breakfast left out. We had to take taxis to and from the Pennine Way.
