"Excellent"

The Royal Oak was exactly whay I was looking for for my stay in Appleby. It has an excellent restarant. Therooms are well appointed and are what one would expect in an old inn. It's a little way from the main centre of Appleby. Parking on the road outside was not a problem.

Breakfast was outstanding! Waiter was polite and very helpful by setting up a table in the bar area as we had the dog with us. Chef was also amazing, told me were to get the amazing black pudding! House was well equipped, spacious and comfortable.

Lots of dust and hair around the floor in bathroom, dark stain on the duvet which showed through the cover.
