Eels Foot Inn

We enjoyed our three night stay at Eels Foot Inn. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Set in beautiful countryside but nearby to Aldeburgh and Southwold. Lovely generous breakfast included in our stay and a good choice of home cooked food available in the evening. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for a short break to visit RSPB Minsmere. Location perfect. Lovely room, (loo seat needs a man with a spanner!), quiet considering a pub; good to see a bath rather than just a shower; superb food for dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff; would be delighted to stay here again.

What a great stay. The staff are definitely the jewel in the pubs crown, they were awesome ready to help and advise. Rooms clean and tidy though did have 4 bedroom spiders but what can you expect it’s the countryside. Food was very good and there was plenty of it. My husband says it’s also a well kept pint.

Exactly what we were looking for.

Excellent, unpretentious pub. Good basic modern room adjacent to friendly historic pub within walking distance of Minsmere. Very good food available seven days a week with great breakfasts.

It was all good - I really enjoyed my stay. The beer was good, as was the food, and the staff were all lovely. The music night was fun too!

Wonderful staff, food and atmosphere. We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

I've stayed here lots of times in the past and it was lovely to come back. It feels real, unpretentious and it's an accepting and relaxing place.

The location next to Minsmere is unique and wonderful. Also the brilliant food in the pub, including extensive vegetarian menu (and good beer). We had the family room which was sparsely and rather discordantly furnished and not as clean as we might have hoped (there was a pool of water in the middle of the floor from recent mopping when we arrived in early evening) and loo needed more attention. Also some net curtains or blinds would have been welcome so we could have privacy and daylight at the same time. Otherwise comfortable.
