Air con didn’t work Breakfast wasn’t fully stocked x

I stayed in room 75 and unfortunately had a very poor experience at DoubleTree by Hilton York. The heater in the room was broken and making extremely loud noise throughout the stay, just like the video I showed to the staff. It was impossible to sleep properly because of the constant noise. Instead of changing my room, the hotel only provided a small portable heater. The heater had a very bright light on all night, which made sleeping even more uncomfortable. I was disappointed that no room change was offered despite the issue. Another major problem was the Wi-Fi. I could not connect to any hotel Wi-Fi because no Wi-Fi network name even appeared on my phone while in the room area. I tried several times but nothing showed up. The location of the hotel is good, but the room condition, heating issue, and lack of proper Wi-Fi made the stay very disappointing.

Location was great. Breakfast was good, nice variety. Public areas are lovely inc pretty courtyard

Toilet was temperamental. It was very hot and the A/C wasn’t adequate, also the A/C very noisy.

Ubicacion muy cómoda. El desayuno muy variado y abundante.

Estaba sin funcionar el flujo de agua en el inodoro. Tuvimos que esperar al dia siguiente para solucionarlo. Lo reparó un recepcionista muy amable y hábil de origen italiano, ya que no habia gente de mantenimiento a disposición.

The location was excellent for close vicinity to the town centre & the amenities.

No dislikes.

Location was ideal for what we needed

Apparently we had to wait for someone to check the room make sure it was all ready for us,we'll whoever checked didn't do very good job .the aircon unit didn't work ,I tried to ring reception but never answered I went down they told me they would go have a look while we went out ,got back still not working do rang down again they told me no maintenance team on as they had all gone home ,I explained about Aircon and also one of the windows wouldn't open which made it worse they said they was sorry could offer a noise fan which we declined..in front of window was a very large red stain on carpet not sure what that was ,room definitely needed repaint and clean ,never a 4 star room no chance.wardrobe doors didn't meet big gap in them ,,

Room was lovely

Supposed to check in at 4pm, but had to wait until 4:50pm before room was ready. Breakfast was very unsatisfactory.
