Courtyard by Marriott Bridgetown, Barbados

I stayed here for a business trip. I am most disheartened that the hotel would have assigned me to what I later learned to be the noisiest room in the hotel. The AC unit kept humming all night and the room vibrated all night due to equipment on the roof. It felt like sleeping in an airplane, but worse. After calling the front desk at 2 am, I was provided a new room the next morning. However, no one really conveyed any apology for my inconvenience of having to pack up and move in the midst of a business trip. The customer service in general is poor. The staff, in exception for the maids, acted like I was a bother to them. I won't be staying here ever again, and I strongly suggest that you don't.

Nice hotel

A friend and I had a brief stay at this hotel and it was lovely, just what we both needed … rest and relaxation … the room was clean and modern looking and the bed was comfortable. The food was nice and the staff very pleasant. My only complaint was the pool area which needed some care and sanitation. We were planning to go in the pool but changed our minds based on the uncleanliness of everything in that area including the pool. However, over all it was a very decent stay and we will return.

Overall, my stay at the Courtyard was a pleasant experience. The staff provided friendly and attentive service, especially during breakfast, where the buffet was well-stocked and enjoyable. The only area for improvement would be the in-room televisions, which appeared quite dark and made viewing difficult regardless of settings. Updating the TVs would definitely enhance the guest experience. Otherwise, a solid stay and I would consider returning.
